Purpose statement

 

This role, reporting to APAC Senior Manager, Data Science, will support finance analytics transformation project in first year by bringing in depth technical expertise of data ingestion & processing, data management, security and governance, and support analytics capability building up in finance area; s/he will investigate various systems and data in global/region/countries and develop / support the development the integrated database and management solution from technical perspective; s/he will work to improve system performance and manage data security; From time to time the scope of activities may change as the project evolves and a flexible and agile mindset is expected throughout the project.

 

After completion of finance analytics transformation project, s/he will align to data team under APAC IT to continue support of finance data products and join other data projects in APAC IT data team.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • Enabling and supporting the implementation of analytics capabilities in the FP&A Hub from technical data platform perspective, e.g., AWS, Snowflake, data ingestion, storage and processing
  • Working together with FP&A Hub lead to provide technical expertise support and advices for project.
  • Establishing the data architecture for FP&A Hub including gathering requirements
  • Managing and optimizing performance of data products to support FP&A Hub
  • Design security and access structure and governance
  • Connecting relevant data sources (global / local) with growing demand of data objects
  • Create data mapping where needed
  • Process data at Datahub side to provide required data for FP&A Hub
  • Influence and engage people in and outside of own organization to lead to successful communication with employees of all levels.

Key Requirements:

 

  • A self-starter that works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives
  • Must be keen in continuous learning
  • Solid expertise with minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in data analytics solutions, e.g., Tableau or Power BI, including data flow control, modeling/schema, data packaging and sharing control, security, optimization, and performance tuning, etc.
  • Experience in cloud (AWS/Azure) data lake/warehouse with strong SQL coding skill.
  • Experience in end-to-end data product development, deployment, and management.
  • Experience in data security management, esp. row-level security.
  • Experienced in supporting finance systems (SAP, Hyperion, etc.) and finance data projects preferred
  • Advanced collaboration and team working skills
  • Ability to work across different cultures
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to coach/guide others about technical knowledge
