The Strategic Pricing Manager, APAC Growth Markets is responsible for leading the pricing strategy, governance, price planning, and margin optimization agenda across Southeast Asia (SEA) and ISC markets. The role drives the pricing excellence, partnering closely with Country Finance (FP&A), Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Sales, and APAC Pricing CoE to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and pricing discipline.

Leading a small team of Pricing Analysts and strong partnership with country FP&A team, the role develops pricing frameworks, governance policies, approval processes, and analytical capabilities that enable data-driven decision making. The position also drives annual price planning, pricing architecture, deal governance, pricing performance monitoring, and continuous process improvement while ensuring alignment with regional and local market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual list and deal price planning processes across Growth Markets, including scenario modelling, price recommendations, and governance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain pricing frameworks, floor-price corridors, price tiers, discount guardrails, and approval matrices.
  • Drive pricing governance, compliance, and exception management processes across countries and business units.
  • Partner with Country Finance (FP&A) teams to evaluate pricing opportunities, profitability drivers, and commercial trade-offs.
  • Lead pricing and margin optimization initiatives to achieve growth and profitability targets.
  • Provide strategic pricing support for tenders, contracts, customer negotiations, bundles, and commercial programs.
  • Establish and chair pricing review forums and pricing councils with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee pricing master data governance, pricing policies, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Deliver pricing analytics, dashboards, and insights to identify risks, opportunities, and margin leakage.
  • Lead pricing decisions for new product introductions, defining launch price positioning, floor levels, and channel pricing logic in alignment with Marketing and Supply Chain
  • Collaborate with country FP&A, Marketing, Sales, GBS, and IT teams to improve pricing tools, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives to strengthen pricing maturity across Growth Markets.
  • Coach and develop a team of Pricing Analysts while fostering a high-performance, data-driven culture.

Role Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Commercial Excellence, Strategy, or related disciplines.
  • Experience operating across multiple countries or regional organizations.
  • Demonstrated success developing pricing strategies, governance frameworks, and pricing optimization programs.
  • Strong experience partnering with Finance and commercial teams to drive profitability improvement.
  • Experience operating in SEA and/or ISC markets, understanding of commercial dynamics and distributor structures, and relevant pricing considerations
  • Experience leading small teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Advanced analytical, financial modelling, and business case development capabilities.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, BI, and pricing systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.

  • Medical Device or Life Sciences industry experience or alternatively FMCG (Unilever, P&G, Nestle, Reckitt)
  • Price optimization software and analytics platforms
  • Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, or similar tools
  • Experience with pricing software or CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tools, SAP, Salesforce, or equivalent ERP/CRM systems
  • Tender and contract pricing experience
  • Lean Six Sigma or process excellence experience
  • Regional transformation or digitalization project experience
  • MBA or professional finance/commercial certification
