Account Manager, WATCHMAN (Galicia & León)

Location: based in Santiago de Compostela, on a remote working schedule | Territory: Galicia & León.

 

 

About the role: 

Core objective of this role is to support the Divisional Manager in achieving the goals and objectives of the Watchman division they represent, in the area of Galicia & León 

 

Your Responsibilities Will Include: 

  • Support for implantations and follow-up examinations for WATCHMAN (WATCHMAN FLX - Left Atrial Appendage Closure Device - Boston Scientific), and provide direct technical training and support to customers in the operating room. 
  • Discuss clinical study status and appropriate patient indications for atrial appendage closure with medical professionals  
  • Visit customers and/or potential customers of Boston Scientific on a regular and planned basis to promote products and services to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets. 
  • Conduct therapy awareness activities, regular site visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, procedural observations, and trade shows. Educate stakeholders, identify patient pathways, and enhance implantation and patient flow strategies. 
  • Establish business relationships with hospital management, purchasing department and hospital staff. 
  • Develop as professional account manager by acquiring working knowledge and selling techniques fundamentals. 
  • Manage existing and acquire new customers in the assigned territory under close supervision & guidance of the Manager. 
  • Follow instructions of Manager in order to plan and develop the market for our existing and new products according with divisional goals and objectives, through execution, while optimize available tools (consignment, etc). 
  • Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services. 

 

What are we looking for in you? 

  • Health Sciences or Biomedical Engineer academic studies background. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical device sales or clinical support; and/or background in cardiology products or clinical support. 
  • Experience supporting procedures in the operating room will be valuable. 
  • Experience in Cardiology products & procedures is a plus. 
  • Local Customers & market knowledge. 
  • Experience preparing tenders & relationship with purchase centers and other hospital stakeholders. 
  • Motivation and positive attitude. 
  • Availability for travel in area of responsibility and nationally when necessary. 
  • First relevant professional experience, preferably in the cath lab or operating room. 
  • Strong customer and patient orientation as well as willingness to take responsibility.
  • Spanish language skills at native speaker level as well as good written and spoken English skills.
  • Self-management & willingness to help shape change.
