About the role:

Role and Reporting Structure

The Content Strategist Principle for Core Stone and StoneSmart is responsible for leading the development, execution and measurement of integrated communication strategies within the Endourology franchise, which is part of the Urology and Pelvic Health business of Boston Scientific. The endourology core stone portfolio includes products for flexible ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy, including  LithoVue™ Empower Retrieval Deployment Device, Dakota™ Nitinol Stone Retrieval Device with OpenSure™ Handle and LithoClast™ Trilogy Lithotripter. This role also includes the StoneSmart™ thought leadership campaign. This role reports into the Senior Manager, Content Marketing, Endourology and Prostate Health.

 

This Principle is responsible for translating Core Stone and StoneSmart Marketing strategies and plans into effective communication messages and campaign strategies encompassing multiple measurable channels, including digital (earned and owned), events, sales enablement, PR and traditional mediums, such as collateral and advertising. While the broader team targets two different audiences: healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients, this role focuses predominantly on campaigns targeting HCPs. This individual must have experience with content and communication strategy with for HCPs.

 

This individual collaborates closely with Global Integrated Communication peers, Product Marketing, Global Digital Marketing (GDM), Global Brand, Operations, Event Marketing, Corporate Communications and external vendor partners to develop and test messaging and to create compelling content and stories for the campaigns. The individual then leads deployment of this content through various measurable channels and tactics (including some digital channel strategy and execution), analyzes and reports results, and adjusts the campaigns accordingly.

 

This individual must have an entrepreneurial, take-charge spirit and proactively engage with Marketing to understand Marketing strategies, sales and the competitive landscape. This is a role for a leader who is able to think strategically, while also rolling up her/his sleeves to drive the tactical execution of HCP campaigns.

 

Finally, this individual must be a master juggler capable of managing multiple campaigns, multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities. S/he must be able to lead by influencing peers and colleagues.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively lead the development, execution and measurement of communication and digital strategies and campaigns for Core Stone and StoneSmart, which is part of the Urology and Pelvic Health business of Boston Scientific
  • Lead, strategize, execute and measure HCP-focused global campaigns, content and tactics on time and on budget
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Global Digital Marketing, Global Brand, Operations, Event Marketing, and Corporate Communications colleagues, as well as with external vendor partners
  • Develop and test messaging and create compelling HCP content and stories for the campaigns
  • Manage all HCP content from creation through editing through approval in compliance with standard operating procedures related to Regulatory, Clinical and Legal approval of Marketing materials
  • Deliver quarterly reports to Marketing on the progress of campaign metrics and budget
  • Hire, direct and manage vendor partners
  • Manage all assigned campaign budgets

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing or other relevant field
  • 5-7+ years of global HCP integrated communications campaign management experience within the medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare
  • Experience in developing multifaceted digital campaigns with heavy emphasis on website, search, social and online advertising
  • Strong domain knowledge of brand, digital, events and PR is essential, as well as experience hiring and directing vendor partners and managing budgets
  • Multiple examples and experiences delivering global, measurable, integrated communications strategies and tactics for HCP audiences with a heavy emphasis on digital channels
  • Experience working within a global organization and creating communications that take into account different cultural nuances for healthcare professionals
  • Experience developing and deploying content in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience managing event engagement and content strategies
  • Copywriting and editing experience for HCP audiences
  • Entrepreneurial spirit balanced with collaborative style and professional maturity
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, programs and changing priorities
  • Ability to think strategically, while also project managing the details, deadlines and budgets
  • Strong desire to continue to learn, develop and grow one’s career in healthcare communications

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital, Business or other relevant field
  • Experience collaborating with a geographically dispersed network of peers and stakeholders
