About the Role:
The Field Clinical Representative (FCR) is responsible for driving commercial growth and providing advanced clinical support within the assigned territory for the Cardiac Rhythm Management (Brady & Tachy) and Electrophysiology divisions.
This role combines sales accountability with in-field clinical expertise, ensuring optimal product utilization, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business expansion. The FCR acts as a strategic partner to physicians, hospital stakeholders, and internal cross-functional teams, contributing to both revenue growth and clinical excellence.
The position requires strong technical knowledge, business acumen, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Execution & Territory Management
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the defined territory.
- Identify, develop, and convert business opportunities to expand market share.
- Develop and execute account-specific business plans, including new product launches and new customer acquisition.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.
- Support pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and company guidelines.
- Identify and pursue long-term commercial agreements where applicable.
Clinical Support & Technical Expertise
- Provide technical assistance during CRM (Brady & Tachy) and EP procedures.
- Deliver real-time clinical support and troubleshooting during complex cases.
- Conduct product training sessions for physicians and clinical staff.
- Ensure proper and safe use of products in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support adoption of new technologies within assigned accounts.
Account & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including:
- Electrophysiologists
- Cardiologists
- Clinical staff
- Procurement teams
- Hospital administration
- Understand account objectives, financial dynamics, and operational metrics to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and management teams to support strategic initiatives.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and required certifications
Required qualifications
Formal training and demonstrated capability to provide technical assistance during:
- Brady and Tachy procedures (CRM)
- Electrophysiology (EP) procedures
Proven experience in clinical support within the medical device industry.
Experience in sales or commercial roles within healthcare or medical devices.
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Strong ability to work in operating room or cath lab environments under pressure.
Availability to travel within the assigned territory.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Prior experience in cardiovascular medical devices.
- Knowledge of hospital financial metrics and value-based selling.
- Experience negotiating commercial agreements.
