Position Purpose
The Key Account Representative (KAR) will be responsible for executing the commercial strategies defined for public sector accounts, ensuring the proper implementation of business plans and strengthening relationships with key government institutions (MINSA, EsSalud, regional hospitals, and armed forces). This role is critical to ensuring operational continuity, excellence in execution, and the generation of sustainable business opportunities that support Boston Scientific’s mission: Advancing Science for Life.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement account plans defined by the Sales Manager, ensuring effective execution.
- Monitor public procurement processes, tenders, and institutional requirements.
- Manage daily relationships with purchasing, logistics, and clinical departments of assigned institutions.
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals, documentation, and follow-up of administrative processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, finance, logistics, technical and clinical service) to ensure timely delivery and support.
- Prepare progress reports, compliance updates, and projections using CRM tools (Salesforce).
- Ensure adherence to BSC’s ethical, regulatory, and compliance policies.
Job Requirements
Education:
- University degree in Administration, Engineering, Health Sciences, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in institutional sales, tenders, or commercial support for public sector accounts.
- Highly desirable: experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or medical device companies.
- Essential: knowledge of government procurement processes (SEACE, OSCE).

- Intermediate English desirable.
Tools:
- Intermediate proficiency in CRM (Salesforce), Excel, and Power BI/Tableau.

- Achievement of execution metrics (visits, coverage, tender follow-up).
- Increase in market share and institutional presence of BSC in the public sector.
- Timely and accurate execution of activities defined in account plans.
- Compliance with operational excellence and compliance policies.
