About this role:

Field based service engineer responsible for the maintenance of medical electronic equipment offered by Boston Scientific.  Services are predominantly provided for customers in hospitals, outpatient facilities and physician’s offices. Based out of the following region Long Island, NYC, NJ or Connecticut. Travel to other areas as needed.

 

Your Responsibilities
•    System installation 
•    Routine and Reactive maintenance 
•    Equipment upgrades 
•    Electronic troubleshooting & component replacement 
•    Reporting of field activities 
•    Travel and scheduling effectively
•    Maintaining quality records

 

What we are looking for

Basic Qualifications

  • Two-year college degree (AA) preferred with Biomedical or electronics major (equivalent education accepted)
  • Able to work independently and responsibly with some supervision.
  • Excellent computer networking, equipment troubleshooting, administrative and communication skills.
  • Familiar with the use of all common electronic test equipment including Digital Multi-Meters and safety analyzers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience servicing medical equipment
  • Prior Technical Field Service, BioMedical, or Military technical MOS
  • Ability to travel at a moment’s notice without warning
  • Electrophysiology or Cath Lab technical/Clinical experience
  • Ability to travel outside the US

 

Working Conditions  
Work requires extensive travel, 3 to 4 nights per week, possibly for several weeks in a row – generally home on weekends.  The position requires a significant amount of walking and occasional lifting of heavy items up to 75 lbs.  Predominantly, work is performed in hospitals where a safe environment is provided.
