About This Role:

The Associate Field Service Engineer is an entry level Field Service Engineer position.  The Associate will be responsible for learning, developing and also performing customer support, on-site installation, and service and repair of complex Laser and light-based medical equipment.

 

The selected candidate will manage designated territory and the surrounding area.  Travel to surrounding areas will be required.  This candidate will train with a Senior or Lead Field Service Engineer and this will require travel to that FSE’s geography.

Once trained, the Associate FSE will work independently in their own territory/geography, relying on their Senior or Lead Field Service Engineer (FSE) for direction and support. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Instructs customer in the operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters.
  • Field Service engineers work on problems of diverse scope.
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent and 0-2 years educational, internship or related experience
  • Experience in analog and digital electronic circuitry

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • AS/ BS degree in electronics or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year experience in electronic system troubleshooting.
  • Experience with lasers and optics is a plus.
  • Coursework in Laser Technology and Optics is highly desirable.
  • Certification in assigned area preferred.
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with customers.

 

The anticipated annualized base pay range this full-time position working at this location will be from $50,336 to $85,592 plus variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements) and the value of core and optional employee benefits being offered at Boston Scientific (BSC), which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com.  At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. BSC considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location.  Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.  Actual compensation may be otherwise adjusted if the position is filled outside of the intended geographic location.
