About the role:

Boston Scientific is recruiting for a passionate story teller and Communications Manager who can make meaningful contributions to our business by helping to amplify the perspective of executive leadership in support of the company’s overarching brand across internal and external stakeholders and channels. This position reports into the Corporate Communications team and works directly with the senior vice president and president for the Endoscopy division, with responsibility for providing strategic communications counsel and execution, including project management of internal and external communications programs aligned with business objectives.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Serving as counselor and thought partner to senior leadership on divisional messaging and communication strategies to engage internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers and financial analysts.
  • Keeping a pulse on business objectives and employee engagement in collaboration with key functional leaders, enabling new and effective methods for developing compelling and interactive internal communications.
  • Advising on and creating written communications, polished presentations, videos and succinct talking points for internal audiences, as well as external-facing thought leadership opportunities, including content for the Boston Scientific website and social media platforms.
  • Providing project management and organizational support including cross functional coordination and vendor management to ensure deliverables are of high quality, on time and within budget.
  • Learning, listening to, understanding and implementing the voice of Endoscopy divisional leadership and the Boston Scientific brand voice to maintain authenticity and style across all communications.
  • Coordinating and managing the cross-functional review and approval of content with company executives, divisional marketing, clinical, legal and regulatory leaders.
     

What we're looking for: 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant internal and external communications, project coordination and content creation within a corporate or agency environment. Healthcare communications experience is preferred.
  • Strategic bias with “sleeves rolled up” attitude and ability to balance the big picture with attention to detail on all communications.
  • Demonstrated success in working closely with executives, experience with providing counsel to and communicating on behalf of senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional editing and proofreading capabilities.
  • Solutions-oriented professional with a creative flare and willingness to propose new ideas and approaches.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex ideas into a digestible format.
  • Understanding of how to communicate differing “calls to action” amongst varying audiences with distinct viewpoints.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time-management skills. 
  • Bright “quick thinker” and self-starter. 
  • Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative and enterprise; ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and social media tools and channels.
