The Senior Manager, Field Clinical Excellence is a national leadership role responsible for defining and executing the clinical strategy required to support business growth, product launches, clinical excellence and best-in-class customer support. At the core of this role is helping execute our mission of Advancing Science for Life by elevating clinical capabilities, strengthening physician and customer partnerships and advancing patient outcomes.
This leader will oversee and develop a team of Area Clinical Experts (ACEs) and serve as a critical connection between the field clinical organization, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Training and other key internal partners. The Senior Manager will help establish a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, collaboration and continuous development, ensuring consistent standards of clinical competency across the organization.
A critical component of this role is creating a highly integrated clinical community by bringing together the ACE team and the broader field clinical organization to establish a unified clinical leadership model and elevate clinical capabilities across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development and execution of the national clinical strategy, translating business and franchise priorities into clear field clinical objectives and execution plans.
- Identify evolving clinical needs, capability gaps and emerging opportunities, and develop strategies to address them across the field clinical organization.
- Lead, develop and strategically deploy a national team of Area Clinical Experts in support of key clinical, customer and business priorities.
- Establish clear expectations for the ACE organization and develop ACEs as clinical leaders who elevate capabilities across the broader field organization through mentorship, procedural support and clinical leadership.
- Establish and maintain clinical standards across the field organization to support consistent clinical execution and positive patient outcomes.
- Partner with Training to define clinical competencies, certification expectations, continuing education requirements and methods for assessing clinical proficiency, while addressing identified competency gaps.
- Provide clinical leadership for new product and therapy launches, ensuring the field organization is prepared to deliver high-quality clinical support at launch and throughout adoption.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales Leadership, Training and other functions to develop and execute clinical launch strategies, establish readiness requirements and deploy appropriate field support.
- Capture early field learning from product and therapy launches and translate insights into enhanced training, clinical guidance and field execution.
- Serve as a field-facing extension of the Training organization, connecting formal training programs with real-world clinical execution and evolving field needs.
- Establish effective feedback loops among Training, ACEs, field clinical teams and leadership to support continuous learning and competency development.
- Build strong partnerships across Sales Leadership, Marketing, Training, Medical Affairs, Clinical and other internal stakeholders to advance shared clinical and business priorities.
- Represent the voice of the field clinical organization in strategic discussions and communicate complex clinical and business priorities effectively across senior leadership and field-based teams.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the medical device, interventional cardiology or related health care industry.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience leading clinical teams, field clinical organizations or comparable teams of clinical professionals, including developing and executing national, regional or large-scale clinical strategies.
- Experience leading or supporting new product, therapy or other significant clinical launches.
- Experience partnering across functions such as Sales, Marketing, Training, Medical Affairs or Clinical to execute organizational initiatives.
- Experience establishing clinical performance expectations, competency standards or professional development programs.
- Ability to travel up to 40-50%.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience within interventional cardiology or a directly related medical device therapy area.
- Experience developing or supporting clinical competency, certification or continuing education programs.
- Experience working within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing field-based clinical leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and organizational levels without direct authority.
- Ability to communicate complex clinical and strategic priorities to executive, commercial and field-based audiences.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
