Purpose statement
As an EMEA Commercial Data Senior Analyst reporting to the EMEA Master Data Management and Business Solutions Senior Manager, you will actively contribute to leveraging operational excellence across the organisation and assisting in the strategic deployment of transformational technology. You will play an important role in the Magellan programme which sets out to build the company’s digital capabilities to enable long-term growth through the implementation of S/4HANA.
You will work closely with the Senior Manager to ensure that EMEA is properly represented in all discussions relating to the commercial processes in scope in order to secure a successful go-live of S/4HANA in EMEA. To that end, you will actively engage with stakeholders and the Magellan workstreams throughout the deployment journey from requirement gathering and fit gap analysis to build, testing, training, go-live and hypercare.
The role requires a strong skillset in analysis, process improvement, gathering voice of customer, as well as the ability to challenge current status and practices.
Key responsibilities
Actively participate in the Magellan deployment journey for Commercial processes:
- Lead the identification and documentation of requirements for all in-scope processes, this includes: Bundles, Sales BOMs, Price Per Procedure, Customer Hierarchy, Seller Hierarchy, Pricing, Rebates, Sales Master Data, Capital Equipment Commercial Programmes
- Lead the identification and documentation of reporting and analytics requirements in relation to all in-scope processes
- Contribute to identify and manage cross-workstream dependency; work closely with all relevant Magellan workstreams to ensure overlaps are identified and discussed
- Lead data cleansing initiatives with impacted functions; maintain KPIs to measure progress
- Collaborate with all impacted stakeholders towards process streamlining and process harmonisation across EMEA
- Coordinate application remediation for the applications in scope of the Commercial and Master Data workstreams through collaboration with the Application Remedication group
- Participate in Informal/Formal Testing, coordinate User Acceptance Testing
- Work with stakeholders and the Magellan Data Migration team on data migration and field mapping
- Create/update process and procedural documentation
- Support end user training; contribute to the preparation and production of training materials
- Support hypercare activities; be the point of contact for EMEA users
Business Partnerships:
- Support the Master Data Management and Business Solutions Senior Manager in establishing strong and reliable relationships based on trust with all relevant stakeholders, e.g., Divisional Sales and Marketing, Divisional C&CE, Inside Sales, HS&P, FP&A, Local Finance, Customer Care, IT
- Work closely with the Business Analysts from the Magellan Commercial Workstream and other Workstreams
Project Management:
- Work in line with programme/project plans with the ability to manage challenging and, at times, overlapping, timelines
- Provide updates to the Master Data Management and Business Solutions Senior Manager and all stakeholders at regular intervals using the most appropriate medium
- Develop recommendations to senior management and all stakeholders

Skills and experience
- Senior level (3-5 years) in a similar role
- Professional with complete understanding and wide application of principle, theories, and concepts in the field
- Applies a full understanding of area of specialization to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
- Ability to work in multiple virtual teams, cross-functionally
- Able to organize and prioritize tasks well and work to tight deadlines without close supervision
- Proven good communication skills with individuals at all levels including ability to translate terminology differences between and for technical teams and business teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering
- Fluency in English
- Ability to research and work on data
- Problem solving & insight generation skills
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Full knowledge of:
- SAP - Work on standardization of processes in SAP and continuous improvements to drive data accuracy and reliability
- SAP Data Tables relative to Master Data objects spanning customer / material. Knowledge of other tables highly desirable
- Master Data, hierarchical structures
- Cross functional business process knowledge and understanding of business use cases of Master Data (Customer Service / distribution / sales and marketing)
- Understanding of IT architectures
- KPIs design, calculation and review
- Database management
- Lean & Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Six sigma and business process optimization
Desirable but not essential knowledge of:
- Informatica Data Director and Data Quality
- Sales Cloud / Sales Force
- SQL
- Tableau
