National Sales Manager, Endoscopy Spain

About the role:
As National Sales Manager for Endoscopy in Spain, you will lead the strategic direction, execution, and growth of the business. Reporting to the Business Unit Director for the Southern Cluster, you’ll be responsible for coaching and developing a high-performing sales organization, identifying new market opportunities, and fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure Boston Scientific continues to deliver innovative solutions that advance patient outcomes and improve the standard of care across the Endoscopy space in Spain.
Your responsibilities will include:
Industry knowledge:
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity through continuous learning and interaction with key market players.
- Ensure the team has access to and understanding of up-to-date market intelligence and product knowledge.
- Inform and influence internal stakeholders with insights from the field.
Business management:
- Monitor sales performance and drive corrective actions as needed to meet or exceed targets.
- Partner with sales support, marketing, and training teams to plan and execute national initiatives and special projects.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with the broader regional and corporate goals.
- Lead quarterly forecasting and contribute to national market planning.
- Maintain accurate customer records, key contact tracking, and adherence to company policies.
Financial acumen:
- Provide full Profit & Loss (P&L) leadership of the Spanish Endoscopy business, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
Sales execution:
- Conduct regular field visits to support sales teams and reinforce strategy implementation.
- Guide effective territory and account management practices.
- Identify sales forecast gaps, initiate corrective strategies, and track progress.
- Lead sales reviews, monitor progress, and adapt plans in response to market dynamics.
- Encourage adoption of disciplined selling models across the team.
Clinical excellence:
- Ensure team is clinically competent and able to differentiate Boston Scientific solutions against competitive offerings.
- Represent clinical value effectively in high-stakes discussions.
Creative economic and value-added solutions:
- Foster strategic relationships with economic decision-makers in key accounts.
- Support value-based selling, including contract negotiations and bundling of products and services.
Building and maintaining relationships:
- Cultivate trusted relationships with major accounts and key customers.
- Actively support and participate in educational forums and customer engagement initiatives.
- Maximize field time to support team development and customer understanding.
Quality:
- Promote a culture of quality and compliance in every customer interaction.
- Ensure all quality training, documentation, and complaint management processes are completed and followed.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to drive awareness and adherence to quality policies and procedures.
What we are looking for in you:
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in sales or commercial roles within the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in people management with a proven track record of team leadership and development.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of hospital procurement, reimbursement, and healthcare economics in Spain.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
- Experience in the Endoscopy or GI field strongly preferred.
- Prior P&L responsibility and experience in strategic business planning.
- Background in working within a matrixed or regional/global organization.
