About the role: 

 

We are excited to introduce a new opportunity for a Change Enablement Principal Specialist to join Boston Scientific. This role will play a pivotal role in the establishment and growth of the new Office of Change Enablement, which will be instrumental in supporting employees through change while building BSC Change capability.

 

The role is aligned to a larger change team supporting Magellan. Magellan is a global business transformation program acommpanying a move of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system from ECC to S/4 HANA. The culture of the OCE team is to work as a group and be flexible and willing to jump in to the broader OCE team responsibilities as needed. There will be opportunities for this role to represent the broader Magelllan OCE team during EMEA local events. It will be an expectation that a portion of time is spent to understand and represent the Magellan change strategy.   

The Principal Specialist will report to the Senior Manager, Change Enablement, who is aligned with the Magellan Business Transformation Program. The initial focus will consist of the maturation of change skills across the organization with a near term focus of introducing Prosci tools and methodologies to the broader organization. This will involve organizing enterprise change workshops, developing toolkits tailored for the organization, and setting up a training program to elevate the capabilities of key personnel, including leaders, project managers, and HR business partners. Other responsibilities will include developing and managing a short-term roadmap of activities, forming a steering committee consisting of sponsors, conducting stakeholder assessments, and more. 

 

Location: 

This role can be based in any of the EMEA BSC Hub countries (Spain, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany) 

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Serve as the change management stewardship lead across the enterprise. 
  • Own the enterprise change management vendor relationship and management. 
  • Lead and drive activities to facilitate the transition from the Community of Practice (CoP) to an Office of Change Enablement, including managing the Prosci contract, developing toolkits, organizing training programs, and more. 
  • Identify and engage change practitioners and change stakeholders across the organization. 
  • Establish an assessment and intake process for new change initiatives. 
  • Create a Steerco and governance framework to track and communicate change activities effectively. 
  • Assess the change impact and provide consultation on change plans for key initiatives currently in progress, such as the Global Footprint Initiative, Project and Program Management Standards (PPMS), Gross Margin, and Other Cost of Goods Sold (OCOGS).
  • Collaborate with the direct supervisor to develop a professional development plan. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Industrial-Organizational (I/O) Psychology, or a related field, or have the equivalent of 10+ years of relevant professional experience. 
  • 5+ years of industry experience working directly in a change enablement role utilizing change tools such as stakeholder analysis, change impact mapping, persona creation, change measures, and the value of their outputs. 
  • 5+ years of creating enterprise-wide and executive-level creative communications using multiple vehicles and approaches. 
  • Experience working in a global, matrix environment, emphasizing cultural diversity and competency. 
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite (e.g., PPT, Excel, and SharePoint). 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) and/or Prosci certified. 
  • Advanced degree in I/O Psychology, Communication, or a related field. 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships. 
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work in ambiguous situations; be resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
