Quotes & Tenders Specialist, Spain

Location: in our offices in Madrid, on a hybrid working schedule (3 days/week in the office + 2 days/week working from home).
About the role:
The Quotes & Tenders specialists will be responsible for managing the overall tender response process and responding to all related internal and external enquiries. The role will combine deep expertise in Spanish and EU public‑procurement law with proven capability in bid management and process optimization. This position is reporting directly to the Quotes & Tenders Manager.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Strategic Bid Management
- Daily identification of new tenders and communication with involved stakeholders when potential new opportunities are identified: Marketing Manager, Account Manager/Regional Sales Manager/Country Lead.
- Coordinate all documentation required (legal, technical, and financial documentation).
- Submit and follow the tender proposal to public administration/procurement regulators according to commercial team and legal requirements.
- Provide Tender Risk Assessment.
- Support staff from across Boston Scientific on all public contracts, extensions, and terminations.
- Maintain a central contract database and support the recording of contract compliance.
- Pricing activities (updates Price Books, customer prices, review proposals).
- Support and resolve issues regarding pricing, contracts and commercial proposals.
Process Improvement
- Assessing positive and negative tenders results in continuous improvement and creating own strategy.
- Design and implement continuous improvement initiatives for bidding workflows, templates and knowledge management.
- Define action plan to monitor efficiency, hit rate and compliance
- Bid review; Align Legal, Operations and Sales on winning strategies.
- Proactive price analysis to decrease the number of price discrepancies, avoid invoices in dispute and to reach target goals.
What are we looking for in you:
- Bachelor’s in law is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in public-sector tendering and contract management. (experience in Pharma/Medical Device Sector is a plus).
- Native-level Spanish and advanced English.
- Strategic thinking.
- Process-design and continuous-improvement mindset.
- Risk analysis & mitigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with a sense of urgency required to work in a deadline driven environment.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
