The Therapy Awareness Representative is a valued member of the LAAC franchise responsible for executing the given commercial model. This high visibility position offers significant strategic and developmental opportunities including working closely with Sales and Marketing Management teams, developing cross functional collaboration skills, demonstrating organizational leadership, deep technical expert, and closing the sales loop by engaging referrals.

About the Role

The Watchman Therapy Awareness Representative will be fully responsible for the development and adoption of the Watchman therapy in an assigned market. The TAR (Therapy Awareness Rep) will design and execute a therapy awareness plan that is in alignment with the strategic priorities of Boston Scientific Watchman while partnering with a Watchman clinical and a greater team. This position will collaborate and build relationships and rapport with physicians and staff in the hospital setting while building the Watchman brand across an assigned territory.


 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify key accounts, health care professionals, and business issues that have the greatest effect on use of company products by meeting with existing and potential customers. 
  • Classify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care. 
  • Determine where our therapies can assist in providing a comprehensive healthcare solution.
  • Identify key referral networks for the WATCHMAN therapy - from Electrophysiologists and Interventional Cardiologists to Primary Care Physicians.
  • Develop and enhance these relationships through therapy awareness activities, routine customer visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, procedural observation, trade show participation and problem resolution.
  • Develop relationships with administrative hospital personnel (e.g. casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to gain knowledge on unique hospital business dynamics and to identify key decision makers.
  • Educate physicians on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations.
  • Work closely with the local Sales Management team in evaluating business conditions.  
  • Work closely with the HSP group to execute on the LAAC Advantics Solutions program, including the patient-ID.
  • Identify creative sources of information that can help inform our strategic business plans. 
  • Prepare and submit reports to Sales Management by analyzing and compiling data, projections, and other relevant information.


What are we looking for in you?         

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1 year of experience in hospital sales with a strong focus on cardiologists and with pharmaceutical products
  • High english level 
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Results-oriented team player
  • Excels in fast-paced, competitive environment
  • Must be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal oriented
