About the Role

A Key Account Manager (KAM) brings together all resources that are required to execute and implement solution driven sales strategies in selected key accounts and builds relationships with key clinical as well as influential administrative and economic decision makers.

This remote role is responsible for the North of England and requires approximately 50-60% weekly travel.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

As a Key Account Manager, you will:

  • Drive Commercial Success: Maintain deep knowledge of the market, competitors, and customer needs to shape and prioritise sales strategies.
  • Shape Value Propositions: Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to define compelling value propositions for different customer segments.
  • Leverage Field Insights: Share market intelligence and feedback to help design impactful commercial programs.
  • Manage Key Accounts: Build strong relationships with high-value accounts, including GPOs, Tier 1 hospitals, and central purchasing organisations, influencing both clinical and economic decision-makers.
  • Create Innovative Deals: Develop and negotiate commercial agreements that cover the full product portfolio, value-added services, and tailored pricing.
  • Integrate New Solutions: Seamlessly introduce new products and services into existing customer agreements.
  • Engage Senior Stakeholders: Educate and partner with economic buyers and senior non-clinical stakeholders, focusing on financial and reimbursement strategies.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with sales, clinical, and strategic account teams to harmonise account strategies and co-develop business plans.
  • Deliver Business Insights: Partner with Sales Operations to analyse data, identify opportunities, and report on performance.
  • Champion CRM Excellence: Record and share customer information in the company’s CRM system to align with other commercial roles.

 

 

What are we looking for in you:

  • A degree qualification within a relevant medical, nursing, or biomedical science subject.
  • Industry experience (approximately 5+ years) of medical device sales, preferably within EP or CRM, or alternatively with other cardiovascular devices.
  • Experience of commercial sales with clinical and non-clinical NHS stakeholders.
  • Passion for sales and a commercial focus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Problem solver and comfortable adapting to a dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong team player, collaborative, and can build relationships and work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated and can influence others.
  • Flexible, adaptable but focused and persistent.
  • Comfortable working in a remote field-based role.
  • Comfortable traveling approximately 50-60% to cover the North of England.
