About the Role:
The Principal Cloud Architect for the Cardiac Diagnostics group will play a critical role in leading the design, definition, and implementation of system requirements for complex customer solutions. This role will also be responsible for conducting in-depth analyses of existing systems and preparing strategic studies to guide future improvements and innovations.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud architecture, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Lead Azure migration and disaster recovery (DR) planning efforts, including assessment of existing infrastructure and development of comprehensive migration and DR strategies.
- Possess deep expertise in a wide range of Azure services, including IaaS (e.g., Virtual Machines, Storage), PaaS (e.g., Service Bus, Redis, Entra), and SaaS solutions.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to manage and reduce Azure spending.
- Ensure compliance with Azure security best practices and industry-specific regulatory standards.
- Define, design, and implement system requirements, specifications, input/output processes, and operating parameters using established systems engineering methodologies.
- Document system requirements through clear and comprehensive reports, memos, and change requests, adhering to approved documentation standards.
- Track and manage systems engineering tasks using the organization's approved tracking and project management tools.
- Analyze and resolve system-related issues by identifying root causes and recommending effective corrective or alternative actions.
- Conduct in-depth studies to enhance systems engineering practices, improve overall system quality, and explore subsystem partitioning and other architectural improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement of workflows and methodologies through collaboration with cross-functional teams and peer feedback.
- Provide direction to support personnel and lead project activities to successful completion.
- Mentor and guide engineers in software engineering methodologies, tools, and domain-specific knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in building processes related cloud services.

Demonstrated experience in leading complex system analysis projects from initial concept through successful commercialization.

Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented work environment with shifting priorities.

Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills applicable to technical and system-related challenges.

Proficient in developing, documenting, and refining system and product requirements in alignment with project goals.

Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

Interpersonal skills that support collaboration and effective resolution of project or system-related issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of experience in a formal Systems Engineering role.
- Experience working in the medical device industry, with a focus on design controls, user needs, intended use, system requirements, system design, and requirements traceability.
- Knowledge of and experience applying risk management processes, including the identification and implementation of effective risk controls in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Experience applying principles of human factors engineering, usability, and ergonomic design in product or system development.
- Experience specifying and supporting cybersecurity design principles aligned with industry best practices and regulatory guidance.
- Current or prior professional experience with Boston Scientific.
