About the role:

The Product Manager II assists in the product planning and execution across the entire lifecycle. This includes gathering and prioritizing requirements, assisting in defining the product vision and business case, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing, etc.) to meet revenue, cost, and customer satisfaction goals. Additionally, the role involves working with external partners to align with the company’s strategy. The Product Manager II handles both hardware and software products, develops marketing plans, establishes pricing strategies, and interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, and sales.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design strategies to maximize product line profitability by collaborating with staff, conducting market research, and analyzing financial data.
  • Define clear priorities for new product development and enhancements based on customer needs and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assess resource allocation for managing product lifecycles from concept to retirement.
  • Evaluate promotional plans to align with product line strategy and ensure effective messaging.
  • Assess product launch strategies, positioning, and supporting materials to drive successful market entry.
  • Make recommendations on proceeding with scheduled product launches based on clinical evaluation outcomes.
  • Translate customer needs into engineering metrics for evaluating product performance.
  • Develop pricing recommendations and positioning strategies for new products.
  • Represent the company by visiting accounts and gathering feedback on products and services.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and customers, ensuring requirements are understood.
  • Define product strategy and roadmap.
  • Analyze requirements, prepare ROI analyses, and establish timelines for new product launches.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams.
  • Understand the competition and market dynamics through direct market engagement.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of product management experience or equivalent, preferably in the healthcare or related industry, contributing to business strategy and product planning.
  • Experience with hardware development and engineering.
  • Familiarity with the software development life cycle, preferably related to market-ready medical devices and supporting software.
  • Preferred experience with the regulatory approval process for medical device systems, including electronics and software.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with regulatory approval processes for medical device systems, including electronics and software.
  • Strong skills in product launch management, particularly within the consumer wearables industry.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with commercial and finance teams to define and implement effective business models.
  • Clear understanding of protected health information security requirements, such as HIPAA.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and launching excellent products.
  • Familiarity with the structure of business units and key business initiatives.
  • Proven excellence in organizational, coordination, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
