Boston Scientific is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support our global SAP and Commercial Business Transformation efforts. Candidate will a have strong background in data migration and conversion, experience on large implementation projects, and proficiency with data administration tools such as SQL Server, SAP Migration Cockpit, etc. Candidate will lead and execute data migration, testing, and data setup.

Large data sets in support of major 

  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Learning data rulesets from legacy SAP ECC as well as data rulesets for new business solutions including SAP S4, Model N, etc.
    • Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to lead data migration activities 
    • Highlight data gaps from legacy systems. 
    • Act as field level data expert that drives business function.
    • Liaison between business and technical team to ensure field mappings for accuracy and completeness. 
    • Timely coordination of loading of files for build/test phases, Trial Cutover and Live Cutover.. 
    • Ownership of field level data and coordinate validation with business  
    • Support Data Load Cycles for defects and resolution.  
    • Support Sales & Distribution functionality/Extended Order to Cash Product teams for test data creation and setup. 
    • Coordinate with other data migration data specialists to provide business input capturing field level mapping, field transformation and normalization logic.
    • Assume ownership and responsibility for data accuracy at object level for completeness, consistency, and integrity of data fields throughout data migration life cycle.
    • Effectively collaborate with project team and client resources to ensure delivery on data requirements i.e. mapping rules, business logic
    • Work closely with business process owner to support data validation activities in each data cycle loads.
    • Support on daily basis application of Agile and iterative development methodologies.
    • Support coordinating data load activities for providing real-time feedback Gaps/Issues.


  • What we're looking for in you:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 
    • 2-4 years of experience in SAP SD-OTC (Sales & Distribution - Order to Cash) module.
    • Proficiency with Data Object Models.
    • Proven ability to quickly troubleshoot issues in using a sound and logical approach to support the Process/Product team.
    • Demonstrated ability to work with people in other areas across the enterprise (geographical and functional) to accomplish desired outcomes. 
    • Create and maintain system documentation according to the IS methodology (proposals, designs, mappings, test specifications, and other deliverables as necessary) 
    • Accountable for Data issue resolution including diagnosis of problem, recommendations for workarounds, and defect correction. 
    • Researches and applies new technologies and best practices by leveraging experience, industry contacts, seminars, and books.
    • Works closely with the project team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution. 
    • Adheres to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identifies dependencies and resource requirements.
    • Appropriately communicates project status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items.
    • Assists in implementing policies and procedures to facilitate efficient operations.
    • Mentor and coach more junior resources/Product teams on Data.
    • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities. 
    • Demonstrates a broad knowledge of a variety of alternatives and their impact on the business unit.
    • Experience with Data Migration Cockpit helpful.
    • Experience with Medical Device or Life Sciences beneficial.
    • Experience in Labelling Interface beneficial (Use of Bar Codes etc.)
