About the role:

The Associate Director, Facilities oversees and coordinates the physical workplace, ensuring that buildings and their services meet the needs of the people working within them at our Maple Grove, MN facility. This role includes maintaining the infrastructure, managing utilities, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Associate Director oversee a team and needs strong leadership skills to motivate and manage staff effectively 
  • Project Management: The ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects is crucial, especially for tasks like building expansions, and maintenance 
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding building systems, maintenance procedures, workplace strategy and safety regulations is essential for ensuring the facility operates smoothly 
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members, other departments, and external contractors is vital for coordinating activities and ensuring everyone is on the same page 
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Associate Director must be adept at identifying issues and implementing solutions quickly to minimize disruptions.
  • These skills help ensure that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and efficient, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Facilities Management, or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles within facilities management, demonstrating the ability to manage teams and large-scale projects 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP), or similar credentials
  • Advanced degrees like a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field can be advantageous

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
