The Associate Program Manager will drive the planning and execution of a complex new product development program spanning capital equipment and single-use devices (SUDs). This role will partner with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to translate program objectives into executable plans, drive deliverables and accountability, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure progress against key program milestones.

 

The ideal candidate brings strong foundational project management skills, a collaborative working style and the ability to bring structure to complex programs, anticipate challenges and drive teams toward results.

 

Work model, sponsorship, relocation:

At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our Arbor Lakes, MN office at least three days per week. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans and timelines, including key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, critical paths, resources and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to align priorities, coordinate activities, solve problems and deliver against program commitments.
  • Drive day-to-day project execution by establishing clear ownership, tracking deliverables and commitments, and driving actions to closure.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources and deliverables against established plans.
  • Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies and priorities, ensuring impacts to key program milestones are understood and addressed.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, partner with the team to develop mitigation and recovery plans, and escalate when program objectives or milestones are at risk.
  • Foster accountability and shared ownership across the team and influence results without direct authority.
  • Facilitate effective project meetings and working sessions, ensuring clear decisions, actions, owners and follow-through.
  • Maintain clear visibility into program health through project schedules, dashboards, action and risk tracking, and other project management tools.
  • Communicate project status, progress, risks, issues and decisions clearly and proactively to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure project activities are executed in accordance with PLCP, Design Control and applicable quality system requirements.

 

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in project management, product development, engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated project management experience developing and managing project timelines, budgets, resources, risks and deliverables.
  • Experience working with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams on complex product development programs.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and interdependent workstreams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships, influence without direct authority, and drive accountability and results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate project status, risks and issues.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in medical device or other regulated product development environments.
  • Experience with capital equipment and single-use or disposable device development.
  • Familiarity with PLCP, Design Controls and medical device quality systems.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or formal project management training.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
