Business Process Mining COE Leader

About the role:

Boston Scientific is looking for a Business Process Mining COE leader to join its dynamic Global Enterprise Excellence (GEE) team to help fund our journey to fuel growth. The GEE team fosters a continuous improvement culture, ensures data driven decision making, and focuses on effectively scaling global operations for Boston Scientific. As a member of the team, you'll be a big picture, strategic thinker with the ability to implement complex programs and gather business leadership support for leveraging process mining as part of the continuous improvement process. You're a strong problem solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done. And most importantly, you are an individual who is curious and relentless in identifying the root cause of problems and seeking out long term solutions.

 

Your comfort with data, combined with your business intelligence will enable impactful analysis to ensure our GEE organization and Global Business Leaders are well informed and able to make thoughtful, data backed decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work across different business, functions, and regions to understand end-to-end business processes & data architectures, identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, apply process engineering, and automation methodologies
  • Establish, operate, and scale our business process excellence COE
  • Own the evaluation, design, implementation of technologies using execution management, process mining, & process optimization
  • Perform business process analysis using process mining tools to build process maps, identify process variants & bottlenecks, and come up with meaningful insights about the process
  • Build customer specific dashboards and provide analysis to enable data driven process impact assessment and recommendations for process optimization through use of enterprise modeling capabilities including but not limited to Process Mining
  • Build metrics & key indicators to measure and monitor current process performance as well as ongoing improvements
  • Build business cases and value calculations, using industry benchmarks and standard methodologies

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand and communicate in both business and IT language
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work well across teams to solve complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience building analysis within Process Mining and or Execution Management Systems
  • 5+ years experience in designing and implementing large scale transformation and/or automation solutions using one or more of the following methodologies Process Mining, Task Mining, Robotics Process Automation, Process Mapping, DMAIC
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools (Celonis, Clari, Tableau, BI, Excel)
  • Understanding and experience with BPMN to model current and future state processes
  • SAP, Salesforce, Apttus, Workday, Anaplan experience a plus
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing a plus

 

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred, though not required
  • Strong business financial acumen
