Business Process SI&OP Manager II

About the Role:

The primary focus of the the Business Process SI&OP Manager II is to continue the maturity journey of BSC's Sales, Inventory and Operations planning  (SI&OP) processes towards SI&OP 4.0 and IBP. The job requires working cross functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance to improve the agility and resileince of our supply chain and enable the execution of divisional/regional stragetgies to meet the companies Revenue, Operating Income (OI) and cash flow goals. The position will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of Business Process Analysts that will support the SI&OP and portfolio health reveiw process. 


Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute the annual Long-Range Planning process that brings together demand upsides and aligns it with capacity flexibility, agility, and upsides over the 3-5-year horizon
  • Work with manufacturing to standardize equipment and labor capacity definitions for the SI&OP and develop thresholds and trigger process to ensure timely investment reviews to support demand changes
  • Lead the monthly Executive SI&OP rollup meeting with BSC senior leadership
  • Strengthen the SI&OE (Execution) processes to improve effectiveness and consistent adoption of these processes to ensure that the short term (0-12 weeks) demand/ supply mismatches are resolved optimally by quickly enabling incremental supply and/or by demand shaping and product allocations
  • Sustain and evolve training content and processes to deliver to new users (within Global Supply Chain and to cross functional leaders). Ensure that new participants understand the objective of each process step, cadence and sequence, roles and responsibilities, key decisions, the escalation and resolution process, and the expected outcomes.
  • Continue the drive for process Simplification and planner productivity improvements (revenue reconciliation, NR handoff, Month 0 freeze, shrinking of SI&OP calendar, SI&OP maturity of EM geographies, AOP budget volume alignments, participant effectivity checks, Decision effectiveness and Lessons learned Refine processes to define Key Products with increased focus on agility and resilience
  • Support the definition of the process to allocate constrained products across different geographies and work with RR and IT teams to enable better ATP for our customers in these situations
  • Extend the SI&OP process to include critical subcomponents and key suppliers
  • Support the definition of key SI&OP activities by role (planner, Manager, Director) and development of “Day in life of Planner” supporting tools
  • Collaborate with the Rapid Response COE team to build reports and tools to support the SI&OP process and ensure that the SI&OP process is closely aligned with the planning and execution processes in Rapid Response.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and appropriate regulations for the areas supported.


What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.
•    Seven to ten years of Materials / Supply Chain planning, Business process experience
•    Strong facilitation / communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization 
•    5+ years of people management experience
•    Highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures 
•    Strong project management and leadership skills 
•    Self-motivated independent worker 
•    Strong analytical problem-solving skills 
•    Detail oriented and organized. Performs to a high level of accuracy in all tasks
•    The job requires 10% travel to visit BSC manufacturing sites.


Preferred Qualifications:

•    Masters with emphasis in Operations / Supply Chain Management / Business
•    APICS/ASCM certification
•    IBF certification
