About the role:
The Global Director of Cryoablation & Marketing Strategy is responsible for upstream and downstream marketing and creating the product roadmap for the Cryoablation franchise within the Interventional Oncology & Embolization division. Cryoablation is a versatile ablation modality that is used in a variety of malignant and benign conditions, providing many opportunities to save and improve patient lives. This position will also lead the IO&E Marketing Strategy team that is responsible for shaping the long-term portfolio strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and advancing business development initiatives to drive sustainable divisional growth.
Key activities for the Director include setting strategic direction for the global cryoablation business, meeting revenue & profitability targets globally, executing marketing strategy initiatives across the franchise (inclusive of business development, new markets, and portfolio marketing), building a high-performing team, and working cross-functionally to integrate marketing strategies with NBD, legal, regulatory, operations, clinical, medical affairs and education, HEMA, and sales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead all aspects of Cryoablation Global Marketing and IO&E Marketing Strategy while also playing a key role on the cross-functional franchise leadership team.
- Lead/play a key role on the Cryoablation Franchise Leadership Team focused on all aspects of running the business (NPD, operations, sustaining, etc.).
- Develop and execute multi-year, integrated commercial plans for the cryoablation franchise, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives, the Strategic Plan, and US Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Drive execution of commercial plan to obtain identified franchise revenue, profitability, and budget objectives.
- Act as a global thought leader and ambassador for the Cryoablation franchise internally and externally. Develop relationships with key opinion leaders across the world.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Foster a diverse and inclusive team that lives the BSC core values.
- Actively coach and mentor organizational talent by creating opportunities for growth and skill advancement, with appropriate reward and recognition. Develop succession plans and long-range organizational plans.
- Oversee franchise global marketing plan execution. Formulate and execute annual and long-range global franchise marketing plans that achieve revenue targets, marketing objectives and program KPIs. Ensure visibility to marketing impact, success measures and metrics.
- Identify and assess opportunities in adjacent or emerging markets, including geographic expansion and new procedural pathways.
- Collaborate with Corporate Strategy and Business Development to evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, including partnerships, licensing, and acquisitions.
- Support diligence, strategic rationale, and integration planning for IO&E opportunities.
- Translate market trends, competitive dynamics, and healthcare economics into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Coordinate strategies, action plans and communication across the regions as well as other marketing stakeholders to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Champion the voice of the business and customer within the franchise leadership team. Translate insights into actionable requirements to inform cryoablation lifecycle management, growth, sustaining, new product portfolio and new business development decisions. Prioritize market issues and opportunities and allocate organization resources accordingly (budget, people, process, etc.).
- Communicate franchise opportunities and business needs clearly and negotiate necessary functional and/or senior management resources commensurately.
- Partner with Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing Operations to optimize pricing, portfolio offers, and commercial effectiveness.
- Remove organizational barriers and drive decision-making by leveraging matrix relationships and capability (senior management, Sales, R&D, Ops, Clin/Reg, Regional marketing, Corporate Marketing, etc.).
- Foster and leverage relationships with key physicians, customers, societies, company partners and others to further franchise/division goals. Facilitate team's development of relationships with key opinion leaders.
- Understand future business needs and set expectations for excellence accordingly (skill set, product, or process). Drive change by establishing priorities, then developing plans defining roles and accountabilities for improvement, and metrics for evaluating success.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years’ experience in complex commercial program management or team leadership in med technology, pharma or biotech
- Global marketing and product launch experience
- Understanding of all disciplines of marketing, marketing strategy, commercial/sales process & operations
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships at all organizational levels globally.
- Highly motivated individual with an action-oriented mindset.
- Track record of success leading cross-functionally to develop plans and tools to maximize sales potential.
- Travel 25-35% domestically and globally.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration degree
- Significant collaboration and demonstrated success in working across a global, matrixed organization.
- Executive presence and ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization.
Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
