The Director, HR Business Partner for the Maple Grove Manufacturing Plant will provide strategic HR leadership and direction to the Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Facilities, Project Management, Quality and Finance functions within the plant. In this role, the Director will act as the trusted advisor to the VP, Plant Operations, and will partner with senior business leaders to guide, develop and drive organizational effectiveness, support the execution of business strategy via alignment of HR initiatives and processes.  This individual will provide HR oversight and leadership across the plant teams. This role will report directly to the VP of Operations and work closely with the broader HR Global Supply Chain and HR Global team in executing the HR strategy across this organization.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for providing HR leadership in succession planning, talent management, talent acquisition, labor relations, employment law compliance, employee relations, employee engagement, change management and process improvement.
    Set strategic direction and guide staff in the design, development and execution of organizational effectiveness and development programs.  Partners with functional leaders to develop strategic workforce plans and to contribute to business strategy development/key business decisions.
  • Leverage HR Centers of Excellence to address and satisfy the strategic needs of the business.  Apply knowledge of key business drivers in making long-range strategic decisions related to human capital.
  • Consult with senior business leaders to ensure strategic alignment between business unit objectives and human capital initiatives.
  • Responsible for identifying gaps between current organizational capabilities, required competencies and skills, and the future strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Introduce, lead and influence change management initiatives with functional leaders in order to address issues that will enhance overall performance and build the overall human capital capability of the organization.
  • Design, develop, and implement human capital reporting, metrics and analytics tools and processes.
  • Collaboratively lead with other HR and non-HR leaders across plants, functions, and divisions to achieve goals and people development objectives
  • Build the right culture and work closely with top management to drive and embed company values and behaviors and ensure leaders leverage these to motivate and engage teams.
  • Set strategic direction and guide the Site HR team in the design, development and execution of organizational development initiatives. Build and share functional expertise, industry insights and best practices with the global HR teams to ensure high level HR quality support to the business.
  • Lead and/or support the successful integration of teams and people associated with acquisitions and plant network optimization programs.
  • Foster an inclusive and diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or a related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience and impact in a progressive Human Resources organization or relevant business environment
  • HR experience supporting global operations functions

  • Master’s Degree
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed, global growth-oriented corporate environment.
  • Previous experience initiating and leading change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex business challenges, both urgent short-term issues and long-term strategic items.Experience with developing and implementing custom talent management strategies.
  • A deep understanding of how to build talent in an organization both in terms of acquisition and development. Has worked on creating engagement and retention strategies and plans with successful deployment.
  • Strong commitment to defining and delivering diversity and inclusion strategies.
  • Ability to drive global consistency in HR practices across a global organization.
  • Ability to envision, drive and manage complex organizational change and development coupled with relentless follow-through to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Strong business acumen coupled with proven, in-depth experience in assessing, identifying, designing and implementing talent management and organization effectiveness initiatives.
  • Demonstrated cultural agility and ability to effectively lead across many different cultures

Maximum Salary: $286000 

 

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

 

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
