This position is a key leadership role within our U.S. Corporate Accounts & Healthcare Solutions organization leading the pricing and contracting teams for our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), Cardiac Diagnostics, AF Solutions (EP & Watchman), Coronary Therapies, Structural Heart Valves and Peripheral Interventions franchises. This is a critical role that works across the organization in support of all matters related to price, contract negotiations, contract evolution and development, execution, and leadership that maximizes business impact and value. The role is responsible for maintaining repeatable and scalable processes that support a fast-paced growing medical device company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of managers and business analysts responsible for managing all aspects of commercial pricing and contracting. Support includes but is not limited to comprehensive contract management, contract development, pricing analysis, reporting and proactive, forward-thinking business/decision support.
  • Maintains continuous alignment with the business units on their goals & objectives, and ensures the organization is structured and equipped to provide high quality, effective and efficient support.
  • Identifies and implements best practices, processes and tools to ensure effective workflow throughout the contract lifecycle, consistent process execution and harmonized approaches that maximize sales support execution, quality, effectiveness, efficiency and productivity. 
  • Focuses on organizational leverage, and recruits, coaches and develops top-notch talent.
  • Creates an entrepreneurial environment and demonstrates change leadership with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with discount/safe harbor regulations, internal financial procedures, etc.).
  • Makes and executes operational decisions with a strategic perspective.
  • Develops and maintains a culture of winning and keeps the team focused on responsible revenue growth with a customer-first attitude
  • Has a passion for employee development and training and has the ability to implement a differentiated Learning & Development plan
  • Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all particpants to contribute to their full potential in poursuit of ogranizational objectives. 

 

Candidate Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business-oriented discipline
  • Advanced degree (MBA) is preferred

 

Experience:

  • A total of 15 years of total business experience is preferred. A minimum of 10 years working with Sales and Marketing in a pricing, analytical, contracting management function is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience of a commercial pricing/marketing organization with the ability to effectively lead, develop, and coach in a high-performance environment
  • Boston Scientific, healthcare and/or medical technology industry experience preferred

 

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Highly motivated, high impact individual with strong leadership, and commercial acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to revenue performance and growth
  • Ability to initiate and drive change, with proven analytical, problem-solving skills, and a solution-oriented mentality
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders and business partners across the organization
  • Business acumen to successfully manage competing priorities, meet challenging deadlines, and work collaboratively and strategically across a matrix organization
  • Strong process and program management background, with demonstrated experience leading large-scale initiatives
  • Highly detail-oriented with superior organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and sales executives
  • Strong business acumen and experience interacting with various level of management
  • Exposure to pricing and revenue management systems preferred
