About the role:
The Director of Integrated Communication & Digital Marketing is responsible for leading brand communication and strategy and the advancement of integrated digital marketing for WATCHMAN.  We are looking for someone who has a track record of creating best-in-class digital marketing programs and communication strategies that align with overall marketing objectives. Qualified candidates will be on the cutting-edge of today's digital marketing ecosystem and consumer brand management approaches, including media capabilities, measurement, and innovation. The Director will be a change agent, naturally curious and won’t settle for the status quo by driving new innovations and approaches. They will lead, develop, and build a strong marketing team who will influence/collaborate with cross-functional partners ensuring success and growth for WATCHMAN. 

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead digital strategy and capabilities including media operations, analytics, thought leadership, planning, and executional excellence across the WATCHMAN franchise
  • Develop and lead brand strategy and campaigns across all target audiences (patient, referrer, coordinator, administrators, implanters) for the WATCHMAN franchise
  • Foster KPI-driven culture, utilizing performance data to inform progress and guide optimization; evaluate on-going campaign effectives and a test and learn, agile culture
  • Oversee strategy of complex, insights-driven, and highly customized, integrated marketing strategies and multi-channel demand generation campaigns that generate business impact
  • Manage the media and creative agencies to support and amplify the communication and digital strategy, leaning into testing and innovation 
  • Connect with WATCHMAN & Cardiology franchise stakeholders including Marketing Directors, Product Managers and IT, and key corporate marketing partners including Marketing Technology & Enablement, Production, DTP&R, and analytics & measurement teams 
  • Clearly present concepts and rationale for strategic decisions and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, influencing peers and senior leadership
  • Remain current on WATCHMAN’s business, competitors, and customers; making proactive recommendations to improve competitive advantage
  • Take an agile and iterative approach, and relentlessly search for the next growth opportunity
  • Foster a high-performance team culture; identify opportunities to actively coach and develop talent, strengthen team expertise, seeks to empower individuals
  • Act as thought-leader role by sharing knowledge and best practices with other business units and franchises

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ of marketing programs experience, with emphasis on digital marketing and integrated communications management (MBA preferred)
  • Ideal candidate is a master at leading and inspiring teams with a strong track-record of developing, executing, scaling, and consistently measuring innovative, results-focused demand generation campaigns
  • Team leadership experience with a strong track-record of developing talent
  • Direct-to-patient/consumer and/or agency digital marketing experience (programmatic, TV, SEO, social, content marketing, customer relationship marketing, etc.) and demand generation experience a must
  • Analytical mindset with ability to define, track and report on leading campaign performance metrics and ROI
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence organizations; able to manage complexity of multiple projects, programs, and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationship
  • Commitment to enhancing the diversity and inclusion of the team and company cultures
  • Willing to travel up to 25%, assuming return to normalcy following pandemic. Travel restricted during pandemic
