About This Role: The Director of Divisional Quality - Peripheral Interventions is an exciting opportunity to lead the vascular quality teams with responsibilities over innovative technologies in peripheral and transcarotid artery revascularization, advanced clot management solutions in atherectomy and thrombectomy, critical product advancements in balloons, stents, guide sheaths, and guidewires evolving the treatment of peripheral artery disease, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.  This role will partner with R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, medical safety, marketing and commercial peers in sustaining current products and developing future vascular products.  This role will be located at the divisional headquarters site in Maple Grove, MN.
 

The Director of Divisional Quality - is responsible for providing Quality leadership, in partnership with R&D and Manufacturing, for Design Assurance/divisional Quality Assurance teams working across multiple global regions/sites to deliver our next generation of products to the market, as well as support for continuous improvement/sustaining enhancements in currently marketed products.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Ensure product safety, reliability and high quality through the effective use of quality planning, risk analysis, statistical methods and process controls during the design and manufacturing stages of the product life cycle.
  • Ensure efficient compliance to all applicable regulations through the implementation of a robust company quality system and through communication/reporting to regulatory authorities.
  • Provide overall leadership to the team in the achievement of organizational goals.  Recruit, guide, coach, and develop direct reports and drive those practices throughout their organization. 
  • Assure continuous improvement in product performance by incorporating learnings into new product development. 
  • Employ lean methodologies to improve the efficiency of the Quality System.
  • Develop and execute organizational and operational policies and processes that positively impact groups by utilizing technical/professional knowledge and skills.
  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action, including directing and controlling the activities and budget.
  • Creates an entrepreneurial environment and demonstrates effective change leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum of 9 years of Quality engineering experience in a medical device or regulated environment or similar related work experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct or indirect management experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to  lead effectively across a broad and diverse body of work/functions/sites.
  • Experience as a strong inclusive leader with proven experience collaborating with peers and network.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • Familiarity with BSC products and customer needs
  • Lean business/VIP
  • Technical experience leading teams in complex products, problem-solving, and design controls methodologies
  • Financial literacy in R&D, new product development, and project management
