About this role:  

The Rhythm Solutions Division within Boston Scientific was designed to support and treat patients with heart arrhythmias – most commonly, atrial fibrillation.  The goal of the EP Senior Training Manager – OPAL Classroom is to support the growth of a best-in-market clinical field force through robust training programs that revolve around the OPAL Mapping, FARAPULSE PFA and associated BSC EP Technologies.  The manager in this role will manage a team of OPAL Instructors who are responsible for the large number of OPAL classes delivered at the Arden Hills campus throughout the year, in addition to building new Advanced Mapping Programs.  The current classroom involves existing technologies, such as OPAL and FARAVIEW, and will also need to evolve with a series of future BSC EP launches.  Boston Scientific has a best-in-class sales force in the cardiology space, and this role will play an integral part in ensuring our field force continues to learn and develop at a pace that matches the growth of the division.

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Direct management of a team of SME’s (subject matter experts), training coordinators and administrative support.
  • Evaluation and continuous improvement to existing training programs.
  • Frequent communication on projects & initiatives to key stakeholders.
  • Strong partnership with EP Training Managers on COT’s (Centers of Training), Field Training, Launch Planning, Strategic Selling.
  • Daily collaboration with several other groups, including other training teams, marketing, R&D, Sales Operations, etc.
  • Fully remote based, but frequent travel to Arden Hills, regional training programs, COT’s, and off-site meetings required.
  • Approximately 75% overnight travel required.

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2+ years of direct management experience
  • 2+ years of EP experience with technical/clinical proficiency, mapping and/or OPAL experience preferred.
  • High-energy and the ability to work in an ultra-fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage projects from the concept stage to fully executed programs.
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize projects based on business need.
  • Experience with Executive Leadership communication and presentations.
  • Work collaboratively within the team and with other business functions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; ability to identify existing gaps/needs for sales training improvement.
  • Ability to tailor training materials to specific audience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/consultants.
  • Basic competency on Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with Boston Scientific EP Products, including mapping with OPAL Mapping System.
  • Experience in management and leading a team of high performers.
  • Education experience within healthcare or the medical device industry.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

 

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
