About the role:
Braiding and Molding Technology (BMT) is looking for an entry level Development Supervisor (Engineer II - Development Assignment Supervisor) to help drive change and growth in the BMT Injection Molding factory. As the Engineering Supervisor in a high growth factory, you will lead a team of Technicians across all shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving business results to achieve both short and long-term goals, all while developing your leadership skills.
This Engineering Supervisor will lead and provide direction to a team of Technicians, devoting a significant portion of time contributing to the technical responsibilities of the department as well as growth and development of team members. The supervisor will also work directly with a broad team, across multiple support functions and business units to develop and execute to the strategic vision for the injection molding factory.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Ensure Quality System policies and processes are followed
- Drive cross training and onboarding activities
- Prioritization of Technician support
- Determine the appropriate staffing and resource planning on a short, and long-term basis
- Manage daily issues and manufacturing improvement projects on manufacturing line(s)
- Maintain and enhance interdepartmental relationships
- Successfully contributes to both new product development teams, newly launched products, and existing legacy product support
- Work with manager to establish department goals, objectives, and budgets.
- Successfully coach the team to drive ME project work, Value Improvement Process (VIP) and Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects
- May lead cross-functional project teams
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical, industrial, biomedical, or chemical engineering
- 4 + years of relevant work experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively, by analyzing, summarizing, and presenting ideas concisely via visual communication methods i.e. tables, graphs, sketches, Visio diagrams, and PowerPoint presentations
- A practical understanding of manufacturing problem solving and process interrogation tools such as SIX-SIGMA, and production flow tools such as LEAN manufacturing.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, managing multiple priorities, ability to coach, onboard and develop team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the medical device industry
- Plastic Injection molding knowledge
- Some experience leading or mentoring others
- Hands-on technical/mechanical experience and aptitude
