About the Role
The Group Marketing Manager (GMM) will be responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for the Watchman franchise focused particularly around clinical and competitive marketing. Key activities for the GMM include building a high-performance marketing team, working cross-functionally to develop and drive commercial campaigns and messaging across key commercial partners including sales, medical affairs and medical education, and leading franchise efforts to partner with sales and prioritize commercial activities across marketing function.
Your responsibilities include
- Identify and communicate competitive threats and opportunities for the franchise and lead competitive action / response plan.
- Develop integrated commercial plan for Watchman franchise, ensuring alignment with Watchman franchise – including product and patient marketing - and interventional cardiology and rhythm management groups. Ensure execution of commercial plan to obtain identified franchise objectives.
- Coach teams to develop simple, differentiated concise messages and to create innovative downstream marketing solutions, programs and tools to create value and drive preference.
- Partner with product marketing and cross-functional counterparts to plan and execute commercial strategies and programs.
- Partner with medical affairs and clinical to develop and drive publication plan, podium strategy and resulting competitive clinical messaging.
- Gather customer and market insights to inform key decisions and marketing strategies.
- Establish in-depth knowledge of Watchman business environment; provide insights in the formulation of the US Annual Operating Plan (AOP) market and revenue forecasting.
- Work with colleagues in key functional areas, including R&D, sales, reimbursement, supply chain, clinical, med affairs, and regulatory to drive business objectives.
- Spend time in the field to gain market and clinical insights, and build relationships with key physicians to drive education, market adoption and innovation of BSC products.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical)
- Advanced degree (Masters/MBA) preferred
- 5+ years of medical device marketing experience
- Experience planning for and managing competitive entry
- An individual that is highly motivated with an action-oriented mindset
- Exceptionally strong collaboration skills coupled with a “team-first” leadership philosophy
- Track record of success leading cross-functionally and with global partners to develop plans, strategies and tools to maximize sales potential
- Demonstrated experience developing and giving presentations to internal and external customers including sales teams, physicians, cardiovascular service line administrators, and executives
- People leadership experience preferred.
- Travel – approximately 15-20%
