About the Role

The Portfolio Group Manager is responsible for managing a team that delivers:

  • New Market assessments – analysis of market size and growth potential of a new markets across the interventional cardiology space; which includes: customer segmentation, market economics and key product differentiators
  • Project-based consulting – research and business analysis to structure, inform, and drive critical business decisions within Interventional Cardiology.
  • Strategic planning – apply experience gained through strategic analysis and market intelligence to develop of franchise and divisional strategies.  This role may play a key part in the annual strategic plan and R&D deep dive.
  • Marketing excellence – developing and implementing processes, tools, best practices, and training to improve marketing performance across the division.

The responsibilities include:

The Group Marketing Manager is expected to be a team player in supporting franchise leadership teams on important initiatives for the organization.  This person is expected to develop relationships with business partners, perform high powered data analytics and develop compelling recommendations within the division. 

This person will lead a team of three to four individuals and is responsible for developing the team’s capabilities, empowering them to independently and successfully manage their own projects.

This role is responsible for working with corporate and divisional teams to develop high impact marketing and business strategies.  This person will rapidly become an expert on the value drivers of our customers and understand the marketplace.  This person will work with their team to diagnose customer needs and behaviors, predict likely competitive dynamics, analyze business economics to recommend (1) new growth markets (2) new adjacencies (3) acquisitions and partnerships to enter.  These activities will require:

  • Strong relationships within marketing, R&D, clinical, health economics, business development, sales, and FP&A
  • Strong financial, analytical and quantitative skills with an attention to detail
  • A structured, practical, fact-based approach to valuation and business plan development
  • Experience utilizing a broad range of secondary and primary research to derive market and customer insights
  • Excellent project management: planning and organizing project of substantial variety and complexity;
  • Guiding, coaching, directing and developing direct reports
  • Fostering a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential
  • Demonstrated experience conducting assessments of sophisticated markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling, cohesive, and succinct presentations. Strong PPT skills required.]
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance required
  • MBA or other advanced degree, strongly preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in consulting, market research, business strategy or product marketing (healthcare and/or medical device experience preferred)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels in an organization
  • Strong financial skills to lead team on financial analysis and valuation, strongly preferred
