About the role: 
The WATCHMAN Customer & Competitive Marketing Manager will manage a team that drives on-going marketing campaigns directed towards WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) implanters and healthcare professionals who support implanting centers.  This role will direct key downstream strategies and subsequent execution in one of the fastest-growing therapies within the cardiovascular segment of medical devices.  The person who is successful in this role will thrive in fast paced commercial teams that are focused on innovation and continued market leadership.  Further, this role will require a people manager who helps their team understand the marketplace and translate that knowledge to the broader business.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creation and implementation of strategies designed to support LAAC market growth and competitive advantage
  • Planning for launch of large,  indication-expansion studies over coming years
  • Drive team’s efforts to analyze customer beliefs/needs and use those insights to design customer segmentation, targeting and positioning 
  • Manage competitive intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination throughout global WATCHMAN business
  • Ensure marketing team has command of the clinical landscape for LAAC therapy and guide team in using clinical information in commercial efforts
  • Develop team’s understanding of non-implanting customers along LAAC therapy pathway and ensure their needs are being addressed through campaigns or non-product solutions
  • Oversee WATCHMAN’s presence at customer-related events (such as tradeshows) and manage commercially-focused engagements with customers
  • Thoughtful career development of individuals on team

 

What we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical)
  • 5+ years of medical device marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with marketing communications teams as well as clinically-focused teams (e.g. Scientific Affairs)
  • Highly motivated individual with focus on overcoming challenges/obstacles
  • Blends team organization with creative marketing
  • Strong collaboration skills with a leadership style prioritizing the team’s success
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree (Masters/MBA) preferred
  • Experience in commercialization of products to Electrophysiologists and/or Interventional Cardiologists
  • Ability to discuss or present medical information to both internal and external audiences such as physicians, sales teams and cardiovascular service line administrators
  • Past marketing of clinical science
