About this role:
 

Industrial Engineers take on an integral role at Boston Scientific by driving and implementing continuous improvement throughout the business.  In this role you’ll work cross-functionally to eliminate waste and improve product, material, and information flow.  The successful candidate will receive mentorship throughout project work to ensure consistent understanding and application of Lean in Logistics and in business processes.

 

Your Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Facilitate business process kaizen events to improve quality, cost, delivery, and safety
  • Lead cross functional projects requiring problem solving or process improvement roadmaps and tools
  • Coach lean culture and operational excellence principles, including the following principles:  Go See, Create Pull & Flow, Build in Quality, Focus on Process, Align to Strategy, Place Customers First, Engage People, and Engage Value Improvement
  • Responsible for effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Responsible for identifying and capturing the value of projects in our Value Improvement Process (VIP)
  • Responsible for leading warehouse layout changes and material flow projects
  • Responsible for managing cycle count procedure

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial & systems engineering
  • Demonstrated success with Lean tools, methodologies, and continuous improvement
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Ability to mentor and coach others
  • Proven ability to influence without authority
