About the role:
Industrial Engineers at Boston Scientific drive and implement continuous improvement throughout the business. The department works cross-functionally across the plant to eliminate waste and improve product, material and information flow through production, new product development and business processes.   

Your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitate production and business process kaizen events to improve quality, cost, delivery and safety  
• Develop and apply lean tools knowledge such as line balancing, mistake proofing, value stream mapping, changeover reduction, statistical data analysis, pull systems, standard work, line flow design 
• Develop and apply knowledge of product design, production and business processes to identify improvement opportunities across the value stream 
• Lead projects requiring problem solving or process improvement roadmaps and tools 
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional workstation and line design projects to reduce work content, improve line flow and optimize space requirements for equipment and people 
• Promote lean culture and operational excellence principles across site 
• Establish labor standards for product costing 
• Facilitate Lean training for employees at all levels and departments 
• Continually build and apply technical knowledge discovered through benchmarking and continuing education opportunities 

 
What we're looking for in you:
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Engineering degree required 
• 2+ years of related experience 
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean practices 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment 
• Experience leading site wide process improvement initiatives
