About the Role:


Contributes to Boston Scientific’s mission of saving lives by advancing the organization’s lean manufacturing strategy to drive value improvement & higher performance. Leads a team of engineers to provide the organization with both training and hands-on application of lean tools & principles to identify and implement innovative solutions that eliminate waste and optimize value for our customers.


Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Lead organizational lean strategy; serve as a site leader for Lean Essentials.
  • Champion the integration of Continuous Improvement (CI) Essentials into the organization's infrastructure.
  • Drive creation of annual labor standards per policy.
  • Collaborate with interplant partners on CI Essentials development.
  • Coach and mentor organization on Lean and Lean Business Process (LBP).
  • Facilitate Lean and LBP related trainings.
  • Manage and supervise Industrial Engineering department.
  • Lead the strategic production 5-year space plan process.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to Champion Value Stream improvements as a site priority.
  • Lead the site benchmarking process, includes internal and external opportunities.
  • Develop, hire and retain effective staff members.
  • Lead and develop the site Continuous Improvement system.
  • Build quality into all aspects of their work while maintaining compliance.



What We’re Looking for In You:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of related work experience.
  • 2+ years people leadership skills and experience required.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a high performing team.
  • Ability to influence across all levels of an organization.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Manager experience desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and sustain change management.
