About the role

Develop and execute the strategic business and tactical plans for the Interventional Oncology franchise.  Provide strategic recommendations to reinforce BSC’s market leadership position and deepen physician partnerships.

 

 Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead BSC Interventional Oncology branding initiative to solidify Boston Scientific’s leadership position and drive the newly defined brand narrative.
  • Develop BSC IO brand strategy and content to be used in multichannel campaigns, Innovation Center visits, and when targeting competitive accounts. Partner with Brand Activation on development of tactics to communicate brand messaging (e.g. digital marketing, websites, tradeshows).
  • Facilitate Innovation Center visits to educate customers on the BSC Interventional Oncology portfolio and strategy.
  • Deepen physician engagement by developing a robust Global Key Opinion Leader strategy.
  • Leverage society relationship to advance strategic objectives.
  • Serve as liaison between physicians (especially KOLs) and marketing for generating voice-of-customer to understand in-market physician needs, practice patterns, viewpoints & behaviors in a rapidly changing marketplace. Work with team to implement changes in strategy & tactics faster than the competition in order to act as category leaders in Interventional Oncology.  
  • Work across the IO organization to drive a new infrastructure and cross functional alignment with physician engagement plans.
  • Lead Boston Scientific’s global Interventional Oncology product portfolio selling strategy to maximize the value of the robust portfolio, while becoming the preferred vendor for Interventional Oncology products in the Hospital. Leverage individual product launches to pull through broader IO portfolio.
  • Serve as team lead on how to position BSC’s IO portfolio of products vs competitors, working closely with fellow product managers and marketing communications specialists to maximize BSC’s position versus competitors in a manner that’s most meaningful to physicians and purchasing departments.
  • Work closely with the field selling organization by assisting in Rep training of portfolio positioning, while spending ~33% of time in the field with key physician customers to help BSC understand & navigate the Interventional Oncology marketplace more effectively than the competition.   

 

 What we’re looking for: 

  • 7+ years of medical device experience required
  • BA/BS required, Master’s/MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated success working as an integral cross functional team member, and ability to develop deep clinical expertise in medical device product line.
  • Demonstrated success supporting and/or managing complex projects
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment
