About this role:
Digital technologies and the internet have dramatically changed the way healthcare providers and patients access medical device and health related information. These digital capabilities also provide new tools for companies to more efficiently and effectively plan, execute and optimize commercial and educational engagements and better serve customers and patients with relevant information and services. The digital revolution has also provided marketers with unprecedented volumes of customer and patient data ready to be harnessed for customer-centric engagement and commercial competitive advantage. 
 
The Customer Data Platform (CDP) is a core component of Boston Scientific’s digital transformation and closed loop sales and marketing (CLSM) efforts. Harnessing the power of customer data and automation technology, this platform serves as the connective tissue that unifies commercial data about each individual and enables commercial teams to leverage and act on that data in real-time. Serving our customers and prospects with ‘the right information at the right time in the right place and for the right person’ in a highly efficient manner will drive increased customer “delight” and, ultimately, significantly higher ROI on our CLSM programs.
 
Reporting to the Director of Integrated Digital Marketing Technology as a member of the Global Digital Marketing Technology & Customer Experience team, the  CDP Product Owner will support Boston Scientific’s use of Salesforce Customer Data Platform and related data sources, marketing automation technologies, and distribution channels.

This role can be fully remote. Must work EST standard business hours. 

Your responsibilities include:
•Supports the global CDP and Marketing Automation (secondary) strategy & technical roadmaps
•Supports and periodically leads consultative engagements with business units and regional marketing stakeholders regarding advanced CDP segmentation, activation, personalization, and new capabilities
•Gathers marketing and CLSM capability requirements and use cases and translates them into actionable user stories for IT development, specifically:  

  • Creating and tracking user stories in JIRA, including define Acceptance Criteria for delivering the right product
  • Supporting backlog refinement and be the first point of contact for delivery team
  • Ensuring that user stories are explained and the backlog is properly refined
  • Producing training materials and user guides (Train the Trainer)
  • Creating and executing UAT (User Acceptance Test)
  • Supporting data source, object, and attribute identification and usage
  • Supporting activation destination / connection identification and usage
  • Supporting personalization use case identification and requirements gathering

•Partners with IT to deliver new capability development and manages existing functionality of CDP tech stack, including but not limited to Salesforce Customer Data Platform, Calculated Insights and Interaction Studio
•Directs priorities and deliverables of the dedicated IT team while maintaining strong connectivity with Business Unit IT development teams 
•Partners with the other MarTech platform owners and IT teams to define, document and direct the development of BSC’s marketing data architecture, governance, and management processes 
•Defines and documents CDP-related data usage/quality rules and approval processes 
•Supports team in creating strategies, builds business consensus, and enforces governance related to maintaining data source quality, integrity and privacy requirements 
•Supports creation and maintenance of detailed documentation – i.e. operational processes, workflows and training 
•Supports deployment of related tools and technologies that enhance the value CDP and the marketing automation capabilities provide (e.g. Calculated Insights, Interaction Studio, etc.) 
•Provides universal on-going support to regional and BU teams to ensure uninterrupted, timely and fluid adoption of the CDP 
•Recommends resource requirements required to maintain and enhance the platform  

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree, Marketing or related field  
•Required: 3+ years technology platform or program ownership/management type roles. 
•5+ years project management experience 

 

Preferred:
•Salesforce experience
