About the Role:

 

The Global Supply Chain (GSC) Planner II will support the Peripheral Interventions Division. This cross-functional role provides the unique opportunity to be involved in strategic projects that have a companywide impact. Activities and tasks range from strategic to tactical in spectrum.  This position requires a high-performance individual that can quickly adapt to requirements of the task at hand, a self-motivated independent thinker and problem-solver with strong a work ethic.  The GSC Planner will demonstrate high attention to detail and a desire to produce accurate work. Additional skills required include creative out of the box thinking, consulting, and influencing skills, project management, coordinating and planning, and skillful manipulation and detailed analysis of large amounts of data. The GSC Planner is also expected to be efficient in working with the systems, tools, and people that support the various business functions. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, flexible, and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
 

 

Your Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Work with the Global Supply Chain and business teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of the demand, supply, and inventory plans
  • Develop content and material for Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SI&OP) meetings and participate in analyzing and resolving issues impacting supply chain performance
  • Analyze supply chain performance and diagnose key short term and long-range improvements to forecast accuracy, shelf life, supply variability, service level, backorder, and excess, expired, and obsolete materials
  • May include facilitation of multiple Domestic demand planning meetings with Marketing and Finance for the broader Peripheral Interventions portfolio.
  • Build and maintain methodology and tools for ad-hoc analysis
  • Define and implement improvement opportunities for processes and systems
  • Participate in Corporate projects developing the approach, communicate plans and tasks to divisional and global participants, manage project to timelines, and achieve project goals
  • Supply Chain member on core projects and extended teams from product concept through end of life
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement, supporting BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and appropriate regulations for areas supporting
  • Develop relationships to influence stakeholders to mitigate business risk
     

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Four-year degree and work experience in Supply Chain
  • 3-5 years’ experience in demand planning, materials management, manufacturing planning or inventory control function
  • Working experience with SAP or an equivalent DRP, MPS, MRP, or ERP System
  • Extremely strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Above average communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence change
     

 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Continuous education in a related field
  • APICS certification
  • Lean Manufacturing experience
