About the role: 
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Compensation Business Analyst to join our growing Commercial Operations and Strategy team in the Peripheral Interventions and Interventional Oncology markets. As a Senior Compensation Business Analyst, you will be within the high impact, fast-paced selling organization supporting sales incentive compensation.  The role is an integral part of the business team and works in a hybrid work model. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Program Anaplan system to calculate variable incentive compensation & revenue to quota performance 
  • Create friendly end-user reports in Anaplan
  • Translate business ideas into technical solutions
  • Perform compensation analytics
  • Troubleshoot escalated compensation issues
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and establish effective and efficient processes
  • Drive data integrity
  • Work closely with the divisional compensation team and commit to delivering results under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate team-first mindset while leveraging individual skills/ability to work independently
  • Become an expert on Anaplan system
  • Develop skills with business intelligence applications such as Tableau, Alteryx, SAP BusinessObjects
  • Participate in special projects as they arise 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or STEM related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Operations, Accounting, Finance or analytical work experience
  • Strong math skills with the ability to solve complex problems using a logic-based approach 
  • Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure deliverables
  • Advanced Excel user who is comfortable with pivot tables and building formulas

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with incentive compensation or with a hierarchy-based software system
  • Proven track record of high performance, innovative approaches to quantitative analysis, and ability to multi-task
  • Curious mindset and takes an active interest in data accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team in a fast-paced environment, prioritize own work, and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Experience working with Microsoft Access, SQL databases
