This role will enable BSC Interventional Cardiology to maintain our market leading position in the remote case support space by leveraging our Ask Angie merged reality application to provide support when our customers need it most. This product manager will play a critical role in leading the global Ask Angie commercial and development strategy.  Activities for this role include defining marketing plans and program budgets, identifying growth opportunities, providing specific targeting direction, supporting the sales team with training, and tracking effectiveness of marketing programs against set goals and leading upstream development. This individual will work closely with sales, sales operations, global marketing teams, IT, other BSC divisions, and participate in the launch and implementation of the Ask Angie program at customer accounts. It is essential that this individual demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate and partner with both internal and external customers. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Marketing Strategy Planning and Execution: Lead the development of marketing plans, drive change management with stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation of our solutions to achieve franchise goals and objectives. Conduct rapid sharing of best practices across functions and regions.
  • Upstream Development: Identify innovative enhancements and work collaboratively with IT to create pipeline roadmap for next generation platforms. Conduct VOC to drive direction and decision making for next generation strategy, technology, and design features. 
  • Commercial Strategy:  Support pilot programs, commercial launches, and the implementation of various commercial contract models to maximize the impact to our IC business.  
  • Business Planning (AOP): Track brand/market performance of solution, analyze opportunities and action plan development within defined AOP and assist in the development of the franchise budget (including travel, promotion, advertising, etc.) and plans.  
  • Market (Market Conditions, Customers, Competitors) Analysis: Conduct analysis of competitor activities, customer needs, technology and infrastructure, therapy adoption etc. relevant to  own solutions in order to analyze impact of market conditions, guide teams, report back to the regional and Global team & highlight possible modifications to the regional/ franchise marketing plan.
  • Marketing Communications: Support development of key marketing communications around solution’s, work closely with agencies and media to develop the right messaging and its delivery; seeking regional and global approvals; tracking the effectiveness of the communication (Brand track) to drive differentiation for our solution.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Establish relationships with KOLs in the field; create relationships with external partners and marketing counterparts; identify key champions internally and externally; develop support structure and relationship with sales representatives and sales management; and participate in main customer events.
  • Training: Develop global training objectives and deliverable plan in partnership with the training team. Ensure dissemination of the marketing collateral to sales teams, KOLs, and provide guidance on solution queries. 
  • Sales Communication:  Own content schedule, content development, and execution.  Responsible for tracking key metrics, driving sales force awareness, and understanding of communicated content.
  • Collaboration: Align with partners on marketing strategy, tools and content, customer targeting, sales training, co-marketing of meetings and events activities and technology development priorities.   
  • Quality: Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific; As interface to Customer and Sales Organization has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors; Responsible to facilitate and champion the quality requirements and the message of compliance to internal and external customers for all events and campaigns.
  • Professionalism:  Exhibit professional maturity and help to foster an open, challenging, stimulating and positive environment that enables colleagues to be their best.
  • Marketing Capabilities:  Use classic marketing capabilities: market understanding, market segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool and communication creation and execution to further business objectives.

 

Qualifications 

  • MBA preferred; undergraduate degree required
  • 3+ years successful related business/marketing work experience.  Medical device experience preferred.
  • Prior digital technology experience (upstream & downstream), including strategic commercialization within the medical field preferred
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex issues in creative ways.   Clear thinker, strong problem-solving skills
  • Track record of developing a strategic understanding of new/emerging target customer segments and building a marketing plan designed to achieve business objectives with those customers
  • Proven ability to work and influence across a matrix environment.   Strong communicator internally and externally, builds networks, and partners with peers and internal and external customers.
  • Track business performance against objectives and forecasts, formulating new approaches and strategies as needed.
  • Willing to travel 20%, including domestic and international
