About the role:
Dedicated to advancing the treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE), AngioJet is a catheter-based device that uses pressurized saline jets to remove thrombus quickly and safely and the WOLF Thrombectomy System is a catheter-based device that uses nitinol fingers to capture and remove thrombus.  With over ~$100M in revenue worldwide, AngioJet is one of the largest products within Peripheral Interventions and is one of the most commonly used device for the treatment of DVT and arterial thrombus.  WOLF is a new product in the Boston Scientific venous portfolio.
 
This role is focused on the development and execution of the strategic business and tactical plans for the VTE market, focused on treating DVT, arterial thrombus, and AV fistula thrombosis for both AngioJet and the WOLF system. This Product Manager will provide strategic recommendations and manage downstream initiatives and tactics to advance the growth and profitability of the AngioJet business, the overall venous franchise, and also will provide additional bandwidth to the future launch of the WOLF thrombectomy system.
 
Your responsibilities include:

  • Support the creation and drive the fulfillment of the AngioJet marketing plans and upcoming new product commercialization plan while partnering with global, cross-functional team members.
  • Serve as a clinical expert and functional advisor to external and internal customers. Develop strong relationships with multiple US and Global KOLs to help validate commercialization plans.
  • Facilitate in the creation and execution of WOLF thrombectomy launch deliverables.
  • Provide timely financial analysis and direction to the sales management team highlighting customer level opportunities and risks in our top accounts.
  • Gain alignment with global Franchise stakeholders on new marketing strategies and opportunities.
  • Partner with global, cross-functional team members to support execution of franchise commercialization plans and approved projects while ensuring key requirements are achieved.
  • Take a leadership position within the venous team and execute with speed and quality.
  • Track performance against objectives and plans, formulating new approaches and strategies as needed, including contingency plans for critical tactical plans.
  • Identify best practices to address key business challenges and opportunities.
  • Use classic marketing capabilities: market understanding, market segmentation, product positioning, message development, channel identification, tool and communication creation and execution to further business objectives.
  • Exhibit professional maturity and help to foster an open, challenging, stimulating and positive environment that enables colleagues to be their best.

 
What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of medical device or product launch experience required
  • BA/BS required, Master’s/MBA preferred
  • Must have 5 years experience in either Upstream (new product development) or Downstream (product launch/commercialization)
  • Demonstrated success working as an integral cross functional team member, and ability to develop deep clinical expertise in medical device product line.
  • Demonstrated success supporting and/or managing complex projects
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic, matrix environment
  • Position requires ~25% travel (international included)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
