About the role:

At Boston Scientific, our products and technologies are used to diagnose or treat a wide range of medical conditions. We continue to innovate in key areas and are extending our innovations into new geographies and high-growth adjacency markets. In Peripheral Intervention (PI) we treat vascular system blockages in areas such as the carotid and renal arteries and the lower extremities, treating, Peripheral Vascular Diseases and Pulmonary Embolisms. 
Given the high-profile nature of the position, candidates should possess strong communication skills, the ability to work in cross-functional teams, and a proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced, continuously changing and challenging environment. Further, the corporation’s focus on patient safety and product quality make strong character and integrity a prerequisite. 
The Principal Financial Analyst role will be primarily focused on oversight and analysis of the PI Interventional Oncology Franchise.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Drive financial planning processes for the Interventional Oncology franchise, such as Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and quarterly forecasting cycles leveraging both historic and current business information;
  • Prepare and distribute financial reporting to both senior management and other functions;
  • Develop ad hoc analysis and presentations for senior management to provide insight into trends and variance analysis to drive what changes are needed to achieve Plan; 
  • Prepare financial models for new internal and external investments to assist in making decisions whether to invest by using financial metrics like NPV, ROI, IRR, etc.; and,
  • Perform ongoing analysis of daily sales trends


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3-5+ years’ relevant experience
  • Strong financial analysis, communication and prioritization skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with strong service orientation
  • Strong attention to detail and data quality
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and adhere to deadlines in a high-paced organization
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Team orientated

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA a plus
  • Financial tools (Hyperion (Oracle), SAP a plus
