About the role:
The Director of WATCHMAN Market Development is responsible for driving market development and growth for the WATCHMAN franchise.  We are looking for someone can develop strategies to engaged both referring physicians and C-suite executives to drive results in partnership with the field sales team.  Qualified candidates will have deep commercial experience and market development experience.  The Director will be innovative and collaborative.  They will lead, develop, and build a strong team who will influence/collaborate with cross-functional partners ensuring success and growth for WATCHMAN. 

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Continue to build a Market Development Team that sets strategy and influences the field organization in developing and/or executing the strategic market development initiatives for the WATCHMAN 
  • Drive initiatives through the field that are related to growing the market
  • Find areas of opportunities with the field and customers to drive efficient and effective growth
  • Develop strategic initiatives and relationships with key WM referring KOLs and strategic centers
  • Lead the Healthcare Solutions team in working with customers and administrators to assess and to improve the effectiveness of their LAAC programs
  • Assess market development programs and to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Explore and validate potential new call-points 
  • Collaborate and connect with internal marketing team, sales operations, field and customers on a regular basis
  • Clearly present concepts and rationale for strategic decisions and possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, influencing peers and senior leadership
  • Remain current on WATCHMAN’s business, competitors, and customers; making proactive recommendations to improve competitive advantage
  • Take an agile and iterative approach, and relentlessly search for the next growth opportunity
  • Foster a high-performance team culture; identify opportunities to actively coach and develop talent, strengthen team expertise, seeks to empower individuals
  • Act as thought-leader role by sharing knowledge and best practices with other business units and franchises

 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of commercial medical device experience, field sales experience and market development experience are a plus
  • Ability to think and lead strategically while simultaneously driving tactical execution
  • Team leadership experience with a strong track-record of developing talent
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence organizations; able to manage complexity of multiple projects, programs, and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationship
  • Commitment to enhancing the diversity and inclusion of the team and company cultures
  • Willing to travel up to 35%, assuming return to normalcy following pandemic. Travel restricted during pandemic
