About the role: 

  • Reports to VP, US Cardiology Sales PMO.
  • Responsible for the identification, prioritization, planning, and execution of strategic commercial projects in the Cardiology Group (EP, CRM/Diagnostics, WATCHMAN, and ICTx) within the US market.


Your responsibilities include: 

  • Develop and maintain a system for identifying and prioritizing strategic projects for the US Cardiology Sales org.  Typical strategic projects would include:  team restructurings & integrations, acquisition integrations, major platform product launches, and cultural transformations.
  • Serve as Project Manager for small number (typically 2 to 3) strategic projects at one time.  Accountable for the cost, schedule, and performance of these projects.  
  • For each project that is being managed:
  • Develop basic structure and governance (scope, roles & responsibilities, workstreams, risks, communication & alignment, etc.) 
  • Develop comprehensive set of key project milestones and project plan to drive resourcing and financial investments.  
  • Develop and continuously monitor key execution metrics.
  • Lead the team in appropriate decision making through the ability to organize and analyze options and build logical arguments.
  • Drive execution of project focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Develop key performance indicators to measure business performance. 
  • Partners closely with US Cardiology Sales Ops and Sales Leadership teams.  Establishes strong relationships with other functions in the cross-functional team (Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Clinical, Regulatory, R&D, etc.).
  • Partners closely with Finance in key financial processes such as AOP, Strat Plan and Forecasting cycles.  Monitors financial performance of projects and proactively makes trade-offs and adjustments as needed to stay on budget.
  • Responsible for understanding the key objectives of the business.  Applies project management skills, strategic analysis, and influence to ensure strategic imperatives are met.
  • Fosters a working environment consistent with US Cardiology Sales vision and mission.  Keeps these elements at the forefront of decision making and actions.
  • Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, EEO regulations, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel to BSC sites, vendors, customers, etc. as needed.  Travel not expected to exceed 20%.

What we’re looking for:

  • Highly motivated, driven, and dynamic individual looking to take on an extremely fast-paced and continuously changing critical leadership role spanning the US Cardiology Sales organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Engineering or Finance degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in Medical Device industry in some combination of Program Management, Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory or Clinical.  
  • Strong understanding of and experience with typical project management tools and techniques:  budgeting, objective setting, schedule building, performance tracking, resource planning, decision making, aligning team, etc. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functionally by influence and collaboration, motivating teams and functions to achieve above plan performance.
  • Strong business acumen & strategic thought leadership.
  • Ability to adapt style to lead at strategic or detailed level depending on the team and topic.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate fluently and concisely to senior leadership.
  • Experience launching medical devices in US preferred.
  • Cardiology experience preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
