Commercial Pricing & Contracting Manager

The position is responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts and is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of commercial pricing and contracting support within targeted Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Aggregation Groups, and other key accounts. Support includes but is not limited to extensive reporting and analysis, comprehensive contract management and pro-active, forward-thinking business/decision support.    

 

 

  • Partner with Corporate Account Group Director to assist with business planning, high impact pricing/business analytics, comprehensive contract management and decision support to maximize revenue growth and profitability within targeted Corporate Account customers.

 

  • Lead a team responsible for managing large-scale national Requests for Proposals ( RFPs) across multiple sales divisions, with responsibilities including critical financial modeling/analytics, and development and coordination of RFP responses.

 

  • Lead a team of high performing Business Analysts in the development and interpretation of financial analysis and management of complex sales contracts with targeted Corporate Account customers.

 

  • Develop, interpret and disseminate contract specific performance reporting and trend analysis to sales executives in a timely manner, leveraging analytical tools and producing customized contract reporting as required.

 

  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including pricing metrics, revenue and profitability, contract compliance, contract performance metrics, and operational metrics.  

 

  • Identify and implement best practices, processes and tools to ensure effective workflow throughout the contract lifecycle, consistent process execution and unified approaches that maximizes sales support execution, quality, effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.  

 

 

  • Champion and drive the utilization of our contract management suite of tools to administer customer contracts and provide sales management with the necessary analytics and information to make quality contracting decisions, and optimize revenue and profitability   

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Economics or similar discipline is required
  • Advanced degree (MBA) is preferred

 

Experience

  • A total 7-10 years of total business experience is required.  A minimum of 5 years experience working with Sales and Marketing in a pricing, analytical, contracting management function is required
  • Strong analytical background with an exceptional understanding of sales and marketing needs required
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment, and past people management experience providing leadership, development and coaching a high performing team preferred.

  • Strong project management skills, including effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Candidate must possess strong initiative and a demonstrated pro-active mentality
  • Process oriented, with a focus on continuous process improvements to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively communicate with sales executives
  • Strong business acumen and experience interacting with various level of management
  • Candidate must have experience working successfully within a matrix organization,  effectively influencing cross-functionally, across divisions and at various levels of management
  • Extensive experience in leveraging and maximizing IT solutions and processes
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Business Intelligence platforms required
  • Exposure to Model N or other Contracting/Revenue Management systems preferred
  • Boston Scientific, healthcare and/or medical device industry experience preferred

 

  • Collaborate and partner directly across the Corporate Account organization and where required, provide direct customer interaction to insure effective contract execution.
