About The Role: 

To assist the Equipment Engineering department in the design, manufacture, and documentation of equipment and tooling for the production of medical devices.



1. Review work requests with Project Leaders or Requestor for project understanding and clarification.

2. Track and communicate all assigned project schedules and scope changes with Project Leader or Requestor to assure projects meet delivery and cost requirements.

3. Demonstrate high mechanical aptitude to proficiently create parts and assemblies for equipment, tooling, and fixtures using computer aided design software.

4. Verify and validate detailed drawings and B.O.M.’s for adherence to standards and best practices.

5. Research, identify, and procure off the shelf components for custom equipment and fixtures.

6. Coordinate the arrival of equipment components to meet equipment build requirements.

7. Clarify designs and/or correct “redline” markups with cross functional team members.

8. Verify the feasibility of fabrication of designed and ordered components.

9. Effectively work within enterprise pdm system for maintaining life cycle of documentation

10. Capability of identifying potential design issues prior to fabrication of parts

11. Effectively communicate in written and verbal forms.

12. Effectively work in a team environment.



Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.



Minimum education and experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Technologies or equivalent.
  • 5-9 years of Design/Technical experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Qaulifications: 

  • Knowledge of materials and machining practices 
  • Machine design experience 
  • Solidworks experience/certifications
