About the Role:
Primary focus is to build quality product and oversee the machines that build the product by following processes to meet all production and scrap goals
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Understands and adheres to safety policies and practices.
- Responsible for quality and adheres to manufacturing process requirements, the Boston Scientific Corporation Quality Policy and the Strategic Quality Process (SQP). Proactively communicates quality issues and concerns.
- Demonstrates proficiency in building product and following all processes in which certified (in their most current revision). Also completes other assigned work, while meeting manufacturing goals and metrics.
- Understands and applies a solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing and related principles.
- Understands and applies flex strategy, rotates as necessary and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally.
- Maintains accurate records such as Shop Floor Paperwork (SFP), training Records System (TRS), Product Data Management (PDM), Systems Application & Products (SAP) and Process Equipment Optimization (PEO).
- Actively participates in Shared Responsibility and continuous improvement teams.
- Understands, follows and promotes all BSC and site-specific policies and procedures.
- Proficient in the interpretation of quality specifications via SPC; Produce material within tight tolerances and is proficient with the use of various measurement equipment.
- Takes ownership and accountability to drive metrics by actively participating in Focused Factory cross-functional teams.
- Responsible for attending and passing all core required BSC and site-specific training (i.e. QS Basics, RTK, Lean Training)
- Willing to become a Certified Back-Up Trainer (CBT) as determined by the supervisor. If acting as a CBT, responsible for training others and maintaining accurate training files for others. Actively involved in monitoring and maintaining accurate SFP.
- Follows documented process to set up machines and replace tooling when tooling has reached maxed usage limit.
- Perform anchor wrap trouble shooting methods, by responding to machine alarms to maximize equipment runtime
- Ability to analyze data and machine performance to make necessary adjustments to the equipment
- Actively monitoring rework coming off machines, and making necessary adjustments to eliminate waste
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience with high school diploma/degree/equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to analyze data
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Proficient with basic computer programs
