Overview of the role
Partner with global teams to program manage enterprise-wide initiatives in New Product Development to achieve BSC's strategic Gross Margin and process improvement goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage global projects with cross-functional teams to drive performance
- Influence leaders and teams to deliver on plans
- Support problem solving and resolution to roadblocks
- Facilitate kaizen events and other workshops to target key enterprise improvements and provide instant offense when necessary to drive strategic business priorities
- Coach and mentor teams to apply design thinking methodology to develop solutions for process improvement opportunities
- Provide change management coaching and application
- Work cross-functionally to develop and refine global best practices as documented in Essentials Guidebooks, global websites, methodologies, toolkits and motivate team adoption
- Manages projects: Develops project plans outlining work plans, timelines, roles and resources; Identifies and leads cross-functional project teams of functional experts, local managers, and internal stakeholders; Manages progress to ensure achievement of all milestones and deliverables; Provides updates to senior management and all stakeholders of progress through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings.
- Develops recommendations: Develops and delivers VI recommendations to senior management and all stakeholders; Presents changes in business strategy including workflow, staffing models, process improvements, work elimination, and other savings opportunities; Develops implementation strategy, as needed, after obtaining key stakeholder alignment.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience
- MBA preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
- 5+ years of Process Improvement / Lean related experience
- Proven results applying lean in enterprise-wide and transactional environments
- Self-starter and entrepreneurial/consultant mindset
- Ability to build enthusiasm for change
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Travel requirements up to 20%
