Purpose Statement

As a Manager II, Sales Compensation CoE, you will play a key role in helping lead a cross-divisional team of compensation administration professionals within the US Sales Enablement, Sales Compensation Center of Excellence. Support the selling efforts of the US field sales organization through compensation process optimization, policy refinement, performance measurement standardization and strategic implementation of technology. This role will be highly cross-divisional, and you will be responsible for supporting the growth of the COE and influencing other divisional teams to harmonize processes and technologies, introduce best practices and expand the adoption of COE offerings. You will coach and develop a team of direct reports, plan team capacity and manage through complexity and ambiguity with a high degree of problem solving, strategy creation and stakeholder relationship building.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the Sales Compensation Center of Excellence (CoE) that supports commissions execution across multiple BSC divisions
  • Optimize compensation processing through harmonization as well as strategic and consistent use of technology
  • Lead maturation of Anaplan competency within BSC
  • Support divisional sales compensation managers in an advisory capacity by facilitating cross-divisional collaboration on compensation design and strategy
  • Provide internal and external benchmarking capabilities
  • Create redundancy in Sales Compensation function across BSC by cross training resources to support multiple divisions
  • Partner with external vendors to support staffing and surge capacity as needed within CoE and participating divisions
  • Provide leadership on day-to-day tasks for team members responsible for Comp execution
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization
  • Set consistent policies with respect to field sales compensation support activities
  • Provide field sales management with performance measurement for field sales personnel
  • Implement new processes as they become relevant for the selling organization
  • Assist in setting long term information technology goals for the selling organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 8 years managing Sales Compensation, Sales Operations, Finance or closely related function
  • Experience coaching, leading and developing high performance, past paced teams and overseeing monthly/quarterly and annual operational processes.
  • Experience working with and deploying Sales Compensations systems (e.g. Anaplan, Xactly, Varicent or other home grown solutions)
  • Proven thought leader with ability to influence cross divisional processes, policies and systems.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and lasting partnerships with stakeholders and field-based employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior BSC knowledge and experience highly preferred
  • Medical Devices/Life sciences experience highly preferred
  • Advanced Degree/MBA preferred
  • Prior experience in building or leading a Center of Excellence
